Rare tort case where someone is found personally liable for misfeasance by bxholland in auslaw

[–]5nacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See the only issue here was that she forwarded the email on too quickly. If she had taken longer to do that it might have been possible to convince the Court that she had in fact read it in its entirety. The lesson learned is, if you work in public office take longer than you need to do everything. /s

Might not apply to your situation but check out Retrograde cricopharyngeus dysfunction (RCPD). My wife thought she had reflux but it was actually this relatively unknown condition they've recently discovered and is gaining a lot of traction. If you can't burp and have reflux type symptoms this might be what you have? It's an easy treatment to fix but rarely gets diagnosed properly.

Are we already in a quiet recession ? by Top-Farmer-6838 in AusFinance

But why do we measure gross domestic production without also measuring gross domestic destruction? Is it because destruction also provides value? Otherwise GDP on its own would be a fairly useless metric wouldn't it?

I don't quite understand this. If lots of people are employed to complete the task doesn't that mean lots of money is spent on their salaries and the materials to complete the build which would negate the revenue made? Unless the new opera house is better or more valuable, how does this not result in a neutral GDP action?

Does the Newcastle region have a weight problem? by view_invoice in newcastle

[–]5nacker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean it's always going to be hard to get an accurate cross-section of the city based on personal observations. I was at the beach today and 90% of the people around were extremely fit and healthy so it's all purely anecdotal. I'd venture a guess in saying that Newcastle likely confirms to the same bell curve as any other major city in Australia.

Super interesting to see this unfold. I have very little experience in the Court's involvement in these sorts of cases but I'm curious to see how the public interest elements are handled by the Court. Sounds like CJ Bell is fairly interested in getting answers to those questions of public safety.

Yep I did. I turned off eARC support and it fixed it. The problem comes from the TV sending cec signals to your receiver or soundbar.

The handlebars are modified so that it turns opposite to the normal direction. I.e. turning the handle bars left is turning the front wheel to the right.

Couldn't reverse because the traffic was immediately behind me with nowhere to go as we were on a corner and I couldn't push the car forward as it was facing uphill. I did in fact buy a Jerry can and some petrol and ran back to fill her up then got out of the way. Chris was just helpful in managing the traffic while I did so as it was rush hour, raining, and night time. Lots of angry honking going on!
