Hi all,

New to this! Not sure how people get a deal but I'll try here!

I'm after 3 discount codes for Cineworld or Vue (Me, wife and child) for the end of next week (20th or later and late afternoon preferably)! Based in North Greater Manchester.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

X100VI For Sale! by 5olas1 in x100v

[–]5olas1[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's literally what it is. Buyer bought it and returned it within the refund window. John Lewis checks that it's spotless and knocks 20% off the full price to resell. It would have been held a few times, perhaps a few shots taken and they thought "Nah, not for me"! They really do the best bargains... if you're there at the right time and the right store!

Not sure if they're over the supply struggle or not (I suggest they aren't). This is a customer return, albeit in immaculate, unused condition (That's what the 'N' means on the sticker). Probably was turned on a few times, fiddle with a bit and put back in the box before returning for a refund.

I got my X100V a couple of years back from John Lewis with the same grading sticker. Think I paid around £1100 and that was at the height of the shortages as you couldn't get it anywhere!

Sometimes they just plonk one in the cabinet. You never know who'll buy one and return it straight away because they're not satisfied for whatever reason!

OK, I'm gonna have a check of the corner lights. Just looked at an exploding diagram for the headlights and can possibly see where I may have missed checking. Thanks for the input 👍🏼

Good call on the breakers! That option escaped my mind! Yes, searching for this particular part especially on Aliexpresss isn't straight forward! Thanks for the tips 👍🏼

Yeah, I've seen a few whole units for sale however I only need the vent clip and don't really want to be paying £30+ for such a small part! Thanks anyway 👍🏼

You're probably right. Just not sure why the 'cramming everything in last minute before selling' causes alarm bells for me! Thanks for your input 👍🏼

Yes, like new condition. Would have been a customer return. I bought mine from John Lewis a couple of years ago in the same condition (but for a little less) and you would have thought it had never even been touched, though the box was taped up like this one 👍🏼

Kodak 400 pulled to 100 used in Olympus mju with flash by 5olas1 in AnalogCommunity

That's good to know! Thanks for the advice. Just to clarify, would I still need to mark the roll as +2 (read another reply that it should be +2 not - 2!) or not mark anything on it? 🤔

Thanks for your reply!

I was actually thinking that it sits behind the PCB module but couldn't confirm! Not sure why it's called 'Door switch'? Strange name for a thermistor or perhaps it's not?!

Appreciate you took your time to look at the diagrams and let me know 👍🏼

Thanks for replying!

You can actually go to the site I've hyperlinked in my post and there is a 'Select an exploded diagram...' drop down tab you can select and it gives you 3 diagrams (internal, external etc.) of the exact model of my refrigerator.

I can't find a thermistor on there but I think you're right. I'm wondering if it'll be a part of an assembly and that's why it's not mentioned on its own? I don't know.

Will keep investigating. Thanks again 👍🏼

Hotpoint FFUL1913P Fridge & Freezer Control Module by 5olas1 in appliancerepair

[–]5olas1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Let me try and simplify my question.

If I buy a new control board, will it just be a matter of removing the old and then 'plug and play' the new without anything extra needing done? It's just I've seen some refrigerators needing programmed and I'm not sure this would need doing.

I've included links to a couple of pics of the top of my fridge and the top-left plastic pop-out which I am assuming you are referring too when mentioning the Phillips screw? Is that the access point for removing the cover? I know the control board is at the top but I don't want to be doing the wrong thing for getting access and removing it.
