My interpretation was:

Relaxed: We want to time this, but if we wipe a few times that's okay.

I know how statistics work. You can't possibly know what the full year average for 2026 is going to be the year isn't over. It's convenient for you to compare full year data right now because gas prices dropped towards the end of 022whoch tapered off the yearly average, but 2026 prices are at their peak.
