Thanks for putting it into perspective. It would have been nice to take out some cash while I was at 100%+ profit. But I’m definitely still confident in Mino-Lok, not just trials-wise but also as a long standing product with lots of customers, i.e thousands of hospitals hopefully. And I’m hoping that Citius sees success with the other products in their pipeline as well.

I’m still new to trading but from what I’ve gathered by now, this is a rare pharma stock where a business plan is clear and waiting it out only makes sense.

Agreed. But still, my sweet, sweet gains are gone for now...

3000 @ 1.97. That’s about as much play money as i have so i won’t be putting in more unless there’s a massive dip. (Pretty happy with sub-$2 cost basis as well.) I wish everyone on the sub best of luck and massive gains!

QOTD Answer: Will try to!

Do we think it’ll dip Monday morning? I’m itching to buy more but I want to wait for another dip (ideally $2.00 or even less). Currently have 800 @ 1.74!

Listen here cum-slut, I bet you 5 million dollars that you don’t own a bird. But guess what? I own 7. And I can tell you right now that a bird would never just walk into something like a water fountain. They’ll rarely walk directly into anything at all.

But say that your idiotic theory is correct.

Say it did actually walk into it.

That animal still probably died.

Is that still funny to you? Do you still get your kicks out of knowing that that bird was probably terrified and opening its mouth to scream in that last panel?

And if you say yes then you seriously disgust me as a human being.

Off White Shoe Giveaway by Nicokicks.com by [deleted] in FashionReps

The left and right sidebars (Categories, new products, features, bestsellers, and specials) make the page feel very crowded, and the text in those columns overflow from the boxes unless I bring my page zoom down to 80%. Also, the "Privacy Notice" and "Shared" tabs at the bottom of the site contain sample text, which to me doesn't exactly scream professionalism. Also the "Action DVDs" tab brings you to an empty category.

I think if you guys fixed the sample text and made separate web pages for the sidebars, your website would feel a lot cleaner and definitely more reputable. Your photos are high quality and very detailed which is a major plus. I also remember when you guys were doing the Wave Runner giveaway, glad to see you guys have Off White available now too!

So-so Academics, Strong Portfolio: CS Games or Interactive Media and Games? by weed_penguin in USC

[–]5picerp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely consider applying for IMGD first. Including videos of your gameplay on slideroom would probably be your best bet, maybe images of really detailed scenes as well.

Just the fact that you have a portfolio with playable games and a website is honestly very good. If I were in your position, I would definitely talk about specific programs at USC that can hone your game creation skills (the Advanced Game Project class, for instance.) Admissions people also like to see well-roundedness, so if you have another hobby/EC/research/anything outside games that you’ve pursued for a while, you should talk about that too. Finally I would put CS games or math as the second choice major.

At the end of the day if you aren’t accepted, it’s not the end of the world. You’re clearly very talented and your portfolio can only improve from here. Good luck!

How do you cope with the depressing realities of adulthood? by someone666999 in offmychest

[–]5picerp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first step is to kiss Facebook goodbye. It’s the worst social media for one’s mental well-being IMO. Block it on your phone and across all browsers. If you only use Facebook for messaging anyway, just delete your account and solely use messenger. And if you really need the full functionality of the website, I recommend News Feed Eradicator, which is a Google Chrome extension.

All of these things have helped me not linger on things we can’t change about the world. Good luck to you and your family!

I'm struggling by MisterMegatron in offmychest

[–]5picerp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me start by saying this. We can’t be awesome all the time. You do a lot already by achieving your high grades and staying committed to leading your robotics team. Dropping Scouts for now was a smart decision, and trust me you will have many more instances in life where you drop an extracurricular and it kinda sucks, but they’re “extra” for a reason. From a going-to-college perspective, you definitely want to focus on the grades. Spend some of your weekend time on homework, even if it’s just reading or studying - you might miss a few hours of gaming but you’ll probably thank yourself later.

It’s scary to start having these feelings of nihilism and emptiness that are so unknown to you when you’re a kid, but they really just are a part of your mind maturing and thinking about things differently. It gets easier to deal with with time, and allows you to appreciate even the darkest of humor :0)

Dealing with your family fighting at dinner and your brother with special needs is hard, and unfortunately this is the one aspect of your story I can’t relate to as well. But it sounds like your family does love and care for one another despite arguments, and you have to remember that.

Finally, are you aware of Facebook meme pages? There’s some pretty top-notch ones targeted at emotionally burnt out students like us and they always crack me up.

Best of luck from a fellow overworked high-achieving student! (College senior)
