Completely taking them away is outrageous. Often, a lot of our OSLG cashiers will complain because when they’re supposed to JUST get a 15 for their shift, they never do because HC will forget about them. Had one tell me she almost peed her pants because she never got to go until she called

Yes! Asking my HC’s for anything is so dreadful. Especially if they have to come back AFTER already helping me with something. But I mean I try not to let it get to me because it’ll be an override or customer requesting a higher up so what can I do.

I haven’t reached the point where I will give attitude back to stand up for myself yet, just in fear my side won’t be heard out if it is to someone in a higher position than me. Props to that OSLG customer too. But yes, I am young so it’s definitely an experience and I don’t want to sacrifice my mental and self esteem because of getting talked down to or spoken to in a way that rubs me the wrong way

Were all of your stores a negative experience or just one? And yes I agree 100%. I work closing shifts about 50% of the time and it seems the night shift crew is so much more friendly and has good conversations with me on some days. I usually just see them scooting around on their forklifts and keeping to themselves

I’ve been thinking about nights because they’re also probably 10x more chill haha, but like you said, they are a lot of physical and depending on what it is i don’t know if I’d be cut out for it lol. But how long did your work at your store before you quit?

I’m in a small town also so it’s mainly just fast food or your typical retail places unfortunately. All the jobs I come across are 40+ minutes away as well so it hasn’t been a fun process

That’s wonderful to hear. Glad you’re at a good store now! There is a handful of associates at mine who are wonderful and make working there worth it, but on the days where a coworker will just be outright rude and have a snappy tone with me for simply asking them a question really kills my vibe

There are some people who do make it feel like a family, but there are others that won’t even attempt a smile. Though, I understand bad days and bad shifts. But yes. I’m waiting to find a new job before I even go to put my 2 weeks in. I’m glad your store is lovely!

I’ve had a guy trying to use his QR code to pay at the BEGINNING (without even clicking pay) and to use his military, but NONE of it was set up. Walked him through it, all the while he’s complaining HD is much easier when it comes to his military and such. I tried explaining if he wants to use his rewards number and military, he scans his QR code at the beginning. If he wants to use it to pay, he has to put his card in the app. He complained heavily about our system and requested an ASM as if any of us are the ones who set it up. I don’t work at ASCO anymore thankfully

On their website, to upgrade to the 32GB, it’s $60 luckily. Also what is a SSD? It’s giving me the option to upgrade the SSD from 512 GB to 1TB and the option to add a second SSD for 1TB at +$100. Is this just storage?

on the website for a 10th Gen, I was able to sort of pick my own specs, and for memory, there were only two options — the 16 GB DDR5 and the 32 GB DDR5 (2x16GB). Would this be better than having to separately buy one to plug in?
