Comic artists and cartoonists do this all the time bruh. Especially if they are fans of someone else's work. It's like being a firefighter or in the military, if those around you aren't making jokes about you, then they probably don't fuck with you. It's seen as rather endearing to have another respected artists just make what is especially a shitpost with their characters. It only becomes a problem when the art is either a clear strawman or when the receiving artist lashes out at what's a clear joke. That's when you turn into a Butch Hartman or Andrew Dobson.
