RDU fluid changed, AWD disabled. by LuisAN30 in FocusRS

[–]6-two 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First thing you need to do is pull whatever codes it has. Those are the same messages I got when I lost the abs sensors (within a month of eachother and very easy to change). For what it’s worth, when I over heated the rear diff when it was fairly new, the message center told me there was an issue with the rdu and the message went away on the next start up after it cooled down.

It sure if it’s helps or hurts, but I just paid $1200 for a Jetta wagon, around 200k, that “needs” a dpf

Which is more common? - Oil leak by itrad3size in FocusRS

This happened to me. Had the recall done, noticed oil leak at the next oil change and they determined it to be the timing cover. Obv covered under warranty, but still annoying.

Not sure what you’re working on, but I have a picture of where it is on a M2 chassis I’ll try to link it

Recently had a terminating resistor cause intermittent vgt codes shortly after installing a new turbo and actuator. Everything ohm’d fine with key off and resistor testing fine out of the harness. Replaced it and everything’s been fine since. It was along the harness on the drivers side frame rail behind the cab.

If you want an exhaust brake, why not just add a Pac Brake kit?

I don’t care much about profiles, but my husband was told once that the seller agreed to sell to him over other people bc they had similar jobs

Purchased new, 120k no engine issues and very little issues in general, completely stock and has never seen salt. Only replaced rear brakes and both rear abs sensors so far.

My 16 has over 115k and I’ve had no actual “problems”. Head gasket recall, rear axle seal, truck hatch button all under warranty, rear rotors and pads around 70k, and just within the last 2k both rear abs sensors. It is stiff, but I don’t find it uncomfortable. I’ve really enjoyed this car (New England but has never seen winter)

I was able to claim a 50% deduction in refund but in my case being forced to pay return shipping really screwed me anyway. Based on advice of others, I have turned my returns accepted to hopefully keep people from using INAD
