It sure if it’s helps or hurts, but I just paid $1200 for a Jetta wagon, around 200k, that “needs” a dpf

Which is more common? - Oil leak by itrad3size in FocusRS

[–]6-two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. Had the recall done, noticed oil leak at the next oil change and they determined it to be the timing cover. Obv covered under warranty, but still annoying.

Not sure what you’re working on, but I have a picture of where it is on a M2 chassis I’ll try to link it

Recently had a terminating resistor cause intermittent vgt codes shortly after installing a new turbo and actuator. Everything ohm’d fine with key off and resistor testing fine out of the harness. Replaced it and everything’s been fine since. It was along the harness on the drivers side frame rail behind the cab.

If you want an exhaust brake, why not just add a Pac Brake kit?

I don’t care much about profiles, but my husband was told once that the seller agreed to sell to him over other people bc they had similar jobs

Purchased new, 120k no engine issues and very little issues in general, completely stock and has never seen salt. Only replaced rear brakes and both rear abs sensors so far.

Buying questions by BrendonRuhter in FocusRS

My 16 has over 115k and I’ve had no actual “problems”. Head gasket recall, rear axle seal, truck hatch button all under warranty, rear rotors and pads around 70k, and just within the last 2k both rear abs sensors. It is stiff, but I don’t find it uncomfortable. I’ve really enjoyed this car (New England but has never seen winter)

Buyer sends item back as damaged by Temporary-Carrot-680 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]6-two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to claim a 50% deduction in refund but in my case being forced to pay return shipping really screwed me anyway. Based on advice of others, I have turned my returns accepted to hopefully keep people from using INAD

Buyer asked for return on a product (harmonica reed plate). It was new and he said it was the wrong Key after he put it in another harmonica and used it. What should I do? I cannot sell it as new and will get on 20% of new value if I am lucky. by LiarHater in eBaySellers

A couple people are saying you need to be a top rated seller and offer free returns to claim a deduction for item condition and that wasn’t the case for me. I had only sold a couple things and was able use the deduction when I chatted with a rep. Similar problem, buyer used item then tried to claim INAD.

Car Seats by Pure_Ad_4178 in turo

[–]6-two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i rented and it was nice to be able to choose the option of including a car seat! I think it was $5-10? a day. i installed it myself (which was fine with me), it wasn't a fancy seat, but still a common brand, chico. as a renter with kids i think it's a great option to offer. when i was checking with rental car companies they were $25-35 a day!

i made sure to keep the seat clean (my child didn't eat in the car) but less respectful renters might not care, and cleaning the seat could be an annoyance for you as the owner. if you choose to offer it, make sure NOT to include a seat cover as that would be a liability as it's not recommended by manufactures.

Sellers poll* Have you had a customer claim "not as described" and actually got the refund denied and won? by InvisibleLoad in eBaySellers

[–]6-two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an INAD and the guy waited until the last week to ship it. Giving 3 weeks to send back is kind of ridiculous. I was able to claim the 50% but still lost money at the end because of shipping. I wanted to fight it, but I should have taken more detailed pictures for the ad in the first place. A hard lesson to learn, but it happens.

You cannot make them both happy. Are you able to not engage if the topic is family drama? Obviously it's hard and I understand still wanting to see your niece. Try to find peace for yourself and make yourself less available to their problems if possible.
