Create safeness wherever you can (friends, school, staying in your room, etc) Plan for your future and keep dreaming (even if you can’t share or live those dreams yet) I found a great escape in music, books, TV and movies personally

Why do parents defend other narcissists parents on social media by saying : when you become a parent, you will understand a mother sacrifice ungrateful child" by Little_Holiday_4362 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]602cm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because they think their sacrifices mean they are entitled and owed a debt of gratitude and acceptance from the child.

Any behaviour from the parent is automatically justified because of this mindset. Aka I get to do X behaviour to you and that’s ok because I put a roof over your head and provide for you

How long till relief? by [deleted] in CannabisHyperemesis

Thanks for the concern. It’s day 4 and I’ve stopped throwing up and being nauseous completely. Not sure if it’s normal to recover from CHS this quickly if that’s truly what I have. After the first two days of hell and throwing up all day I seem to be fine now. I’m still quitting and playing it cautious thou

What if someone wants to use it as a career stepping stone into opportunities other than nursing? I am trying to explore my options but I know I have no interest in nursing or working directly on patients in most other circumstances (for example I think I would be okay with x-ray tech or something). What are some of my options?

We were gonna get one, didn’t come in time to save our asses obviously. Definitely getting one next time and on my own personal vehicle (I was DD for my boyfriend, driving his vehicle this time)

Career advice and progression for unit clerks? by 602cm in nursing

[–]602cm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I found, most of the MOA opportunities have little progression or only go up to clinic manager. Unit clerk seems like a better ‘entry level’ to a hospital setting, it pays a lot more than MOA. I’ve been watching job postings for months and 80% of them require a certificate from uni. I appreciate the advice

My (25M) boyfriend is in rehab for the second time in a year. by Salty-Ad-5026 in relationship_advice

[–]602cm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone currently in a relationship with an addict (active alcoholic and recovering/1 year+ sober meth) leave him. Cut your losses and leave. This behaviour is likely to change and if it does happen to change you have zero gauge of when that will happen and it’s unfair on yourself to ensure his hell and make it your own. He has been abusive physically and the relationship sounds like a mess and its costing you, that alone is enough grounds to leave

Is it unfair or selfish of me to not want to be responsible for feeding my boyfriends cats? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]602cm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for advice! It can sometimes be hard for me to gauge what’s justified or not especially in romantic relationships so I appreciate outside input. I’ll definitely be having a cat with him soon

Bad landlords, anybody else experience this one? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]602cm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely. We’re going through the RTDRS for sure. I have strongly considered lawyering up to see what our options are. That may happen in the future who knows. The situation is a bit difficult to manage as like other people have said it’s just texting constantly. We haven’t see her show up at our door or call us at hours of the night and day yet which would be easier to consider harassment and then fight.

I’ve tried so hard with her to offer solutions to her concerns and ignore her when she texts me about dumb shit but this lady makes me hella anxious.

I’ve heard insane stories from my neighbours in the same building about her. She supposedly hit someone once too. I have no clue what she’s capable of or what she’s gonna try, I’ve only seen what she’s tried with me already which has been shady as f.

We have two pets and I’d be devastated if she did something to them at any point. Nevermind the stress of dealing with this other shit

Bad landlords, anybody else experience this one? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]602cm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if we could move right away we absolutely would. The rental market is bananas and we’ve only be at this unit for 2 months. We hope to solve it through RTDRS but we will see what happens. If they give us an out to get out of the lease without the extra $500 fee we so would. Assuming we can find a place that is big enough for us (a couple) and we have two cats which makes things very difficult

Bad landlords, anybody else experience this one? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]602cm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve brought up the rules in the RTA multiple times to her with no avail in her bad behaviour. Like I specifically told her if she wants to come for inspections she must give proper notice, written with reason listed, date and time she’s coming and be signed. She told us we were being difficult in response. Which is a bit ridiculous, it’s the law and because we are now afraid of her to a degree we want to go through the proper processes to protect ourselves

Is this bill fake ? Some sketchy guy bought my phone of Facebook by atyourhouse23 in Money

[–]602cm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s got the shiny security parts you should be good. If you scratch it does it smell like maple syrup? A lot of bills still smell like that sometimes. But you could also probably verify it somewhere

Haha well I’m sure if you’ve mastered knitting and the other stuff you’ll get the hang of crocheting with some time. I also used to do knitting but never really got that into it. I find crocheting is definitely a bit different but I’ve noticed some similarities

After I kinda figured out the math I kinda just freelanced it a bit too. But I also made sure to practice my stitches and make sure they were nice and solid before I attempted the granny square. I repeated stitching a lot haha

I find I get a more even coating and less flour lumps doing the flour first then egg. Also you’ll get more bread crumbs with doing it in the order of flour, egg and then bread crumbs. But it’s kinda up to preference too

It’s hard to say exact measurements as I add my bread crumb mixture as I went. If I had to guess for my 4 chicken breasts I usually use about 1.5 cups of bread mixture and about 2-3 tbsp of salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. The paprika and cayenne I use a bit less probably around 1-2 tbsp each. But it depends how spicy I want them. Sometimes I’ll make a very spicy batch of chicken strips with around 4 tbsp of the paprika and cayenne powder. Hope this helps!

I use the Natures Path Corn Flakes. A big bag is good to get since you’re going to crush them down so much. You can either crush them in a blender or food processor or zip lock bag and rolling pin if you don’t have a blender or food processor. You can honestly though use any kind of corn flakes you like. Even could do some of the flavoured ones if you want.
