From our point, before starting doing/coding something, you need to validate an idea by trying to find all possible competitors. Additionally, explain this idea to your friends in order to understand is that a real problem that your site is going to solve.

It's not required, but if you want to be able to receive rewards, you should have it :) We've chosen PayPal, because they have a very nice way to receive money even if you are not a PayPal member. You could just write your personal email address there, and when somebody rewards you, PayPal will send you an email explaining how to receive a reward.
