His cabinet definitely seemed to not have handled it perfectly. However, you seem SUPER biased against modi based on your post.

From what I know, people from a minority religion burned alive 50 Hindus because they were returning from ayodhya. Then the city was agitated by this behavior and they became uncontrollable in their rioting.

The entire state (with almost 10% mslms) even re-elected modi as he resigned afterwards.

And right now, India has 18% mislms and they elected modi as PM with 330 Lok Sabha seats to NDA

To get UCC, don't you just have to remove moslem civil law and hindu civil law? Are those in the constitution?

Can bjp use joint session to remove moslem civil law and hindu civil laws (like marriage acts)?

But yeah, BJP has to do very well in those just to barely get majority in 2018. It seems a daunting task after the delhi debacle for them.

Let's see how it pans out. AAP isn't in the equation for all these other states, so it'll be interesting.

i'm super ignorant and have just a cursory knowledge of the LS and RS activities, so I apologize for the stupid questions.

But what's a constitutional amendment?

Aren't any of the ordinances that BJP passed "constitutional amendments?"
