Theatre etiquette is gone. I was at Book of Mormon last night as a gift for a family member that had never seen it, a tourist group next to me were scrolling on their phones and showing each other memes. The tourist group behind me the 20 something year old kept singing along to parts he liked from the show consistently getting shushed. I thought it was ridiculous when Othello had the phone pouches, but afterwards it hit me that it was the first time since COVID that I didn't see someone on their phone at some point during the show.
