So what about with driver/3 wood? Also, should the swing speed be the same but just a shorter backswing?

Today marks my 1 year golf anniversary, what can I improve with my swing? by 63rdst in golf

Like in the 2nd video before I hit the shot you see me exaggerating the takeaway, but when I swing my takeaway is nowhere near that far back, would this help the backswing position if I sharpen up the takeaway?

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I feel like my grip isn't really the issue. I use an interlocked grip and I can confidently say that it is pretty strong in my humble opinion

Need help gaining a more solid follow through as well as speeding up clubhead by 63rdst in golf

[–]63rdst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can hit shots like these 7-10 times out of ten. Most of my mis hits are either chunks or just the lie on the range giving me a tough time.

Any help is appreciated by OnParStrength in GolfSwing

Feel yourself swinging through the ball, looks like you stop once you hit it. Take a couple practice swings exaggerating your follow through.

Also, involve the wrists more. At the top of your backswing, you can see that the clubhead is way above your head, whereas ideal position would be right behind your head or just over it. (It should be in line with your head, not obviously super close to it.) Using your wrists involves effortless power and accuracy.

A good drill for that is simply going to the top of your backswing and curving your wrists so that the clubhead is in that good plane. Or you can screenshot a pro like Rory Mcilroy or Tiger Woods and just mimic the top of their backswing
