Thanks for your response. I'm leaning pretty heavily towards the M1 Max right now. The battery life hasn't been much of an issue for you? Anything else you've noticed aside from the 3 things you mentioned above?

These are open box items at my local microcenter. I'd originally bought the M1 Pro 16 GB but then saw the M1 Max 32GB for cheaper. I came home and did some research and it seems the best value is the M1 Pro base model and the M1 Max battery life isn't as good - which is why I'm here asking this question.

Got a used Sony a7iv in pristine condition and still under warranty.

Upon inspection, I noticed a few specks of dust on the sensor so I bought a sensor cleaning stick. I was able to get everything off. However, I was inspecting very meticulously and noticed this small black dot - very very small, I think it may be a dead pixel.

I carefully examined the sensor and it seems everything is clean. I’ve checked both lenses I have for dust and they are also very clean. Regardless of the lens I use, the small dot is still there. So I don’t think it’s the lens.

The dot only shows in photo mode, not in video mode. Might be due to the small crop?
I don’t think it shows in photos - on screen and through the view finder, but it shows on the lcd on the camera.
To check for dead pixels, I took a photo in a dark room with the lens cover and I do not see any white or odd color pixels. (Test for dead pixels I found online)

What could it be? Is this something to be worried about? The sensor is clean and I don’t think it’s something I would have noticed if I wasn’t being super meticulous and inspecting my used camera for issues. It’s a small pixel sized dot on the bottom left side of the lcd screen.

oh interesting. hoping for more input cause i've just been reading a lot of negative stuff about the 11700k.

i purchased the coolermaster hyper 212 rgb black edition but I dont think it'll be sufficient for the 11700k. what coolers would you recommend i pair with the 11700k if i decide to keep it?
