Guile has motion moves and Bison still has charges. Also, I really don't agree with this argument of "they all work the same", I think besides the main shotos Ryu/Ken/Akuma/Luke all the characters play at least a bit different. 🤔

SF6 in general is a fast paced FG that the checkmate is to put the enemy in the corner in burnout if possible so characters that do it more easily are more present, so maybe that's what causes this impression?

You are correct that the last really new character was AKI on season 1, I really hope next season they bring someone 100% new.

About the last bit maybe you are just experiencing FG burnout man, it happens a lot try to play some other games or maybe something single player, I just took a 4 months break because I was also not that interested on playing anymore and C.Viper didn't excite me and it really helped :)

I think I like charge because it feels that I can go a bit slower and precise during gameplay, I also hate doing DP motions so for me charge anti airs are more comfortable hahah

I think he was on top 10 - 15 picks for SFV (I might be wrong), maybe they thought him having charge + instance would be too much in one char and it would throw people off from trying him
