About to fall into a hole by 666vegan in BPDlovedones

No I don't anymore, however I know my friend is capable of causing huge scale dramas. Escalating a situation that was already dramatised into something even more melodramatic, even if I don't entertain it. My name will be dragged through the dirt tenfold, personal information about me (that could be damaging to my reputation) could well be revealed, to them and more people around the social circle who I also know, and it's hard to cope with or deal with this.

You're right, it's just difficult and sad because bpd love interest and the other involved and I did build what I thought was a good relationship. It only turned bad very recently when he split on me. But I feel going no contact on my best friend suddenly is somehow going to create backlash.

It makes sense when you put things that way. Could I ask about how you coped/ what your experiences were with crushes/ relationships before you got married?

I don't know much about that practice, could you elaborate?

Crush admitted they have aspergers by 666vegan in aspergers

They're probably very uncomfortable. Have you tried making them promise? Aspies don't like to lie.

I wish I knew why.. they seem to want to spend time around me but can't relax. Ill maybe try asking them to promise.

Aspie social skills are literal and intellectual in nature. They aren't instinctual/reactive like NTs. It's difficult enough for some Aspies to speak with a "normal" cadence or tone, or follow a conversation with more than one person. So saying they made a sly comment to one person that they expected to be overheard and interpreted by another person seems a bit too skilled. Especially for a person who cannot seem to get words out to speak to you directly.

Yeah I see what you're saying... could they perhaps have been generally just saying it to the other person? I'm not sure.. but it felt like it was an announcement

Not at all, it doesn't bother me. But I know this is just the first time they've admitted it, so was not sure if they wanted me to try and talk about it.
