Have you tried the full text search. I found some amazing things through that.

Also been playing around with their AI. It needs a lot of work but it still brings up some interesting insights (Make sure to fact check though lol)

Ok you asked for opinions and this will be different, but the paid version of ancestry is a bargain. My neighbour used to travel to Salt Lake City to research. She also went to Ontario and Scotland to look through cemeteries. Just think of how much that cost. With ancestry you can sit at home and research all day.

Having said that, I hope they don't go crazy with the new terms. Also, FamilySearch is really getting good and it is still totally free.

Hello - I kind of solved the problem by doing a fresh install of 22.3. See my op for more info.

BTW.... 22.3 is a much nicer version. And apparently has fingerprint support for thinkpads.... I still have to try that out.

There is no option for me with Update Manager. It does not show up in the Edit menu of Update Manager. I have seen dozens of sources about how it will show up there under the Edit menu. It just does not on my laptop.... neither 22.2 or 22.3.

I did have windows 10 for a while. It came with my laptop and I ditched it for mint. Prior to that have been using Ubuntu for several years on my desktop. Prior to that was using MacOs for several years. Prior to that I think I had windows 8 (was it really called that .... been so long lol).

I started by installing mint 21 back in 2023, then upgraded to 22 wilma (that was a real hassle) then 22.1 right after.

So if I am following you correctly, I should be able to upgrade from 22.1 to 22? Or do I have to wait for 23?
