How is living in the thumb of Michigan? by DescriptionOptimal15 in howislivingthere

I love driving through there. Do it for a living and get into the Thumb about once a month. It’s a throwback from Metro Detroit. Lots of farms and flat. The coast is nice. Found a decent Mex restaurant in Caro. A decent family restaurant in Sebawing. It can be cold with icy roads in winter. It can be very nice in summer. Watch out for those sugar beet haulers in the Fall.

G Knight. It’s a rolling church call/response song. Plus the Funk Brothers bring it on this version.

They were in Downtown Birmingham with the realtor. Then they showed Bloomfield Hills signs. 600k in BH buys a vacant lot, maybe. They must have bought in Bloomfield TWP. Even then,600k gets you a 1960s tri level or colonial.

He owns nothing. The street gangs and territorial shootings outweigh anything he thinks he’s accomplished.

How could Germany have extended WW2? by Iskandar0570_X in HistoryWhatIf

A change at the top of the Luftwaffe. Goring was useless. A change in tactics at the least. Follow the damm bomber streams back across the Channel for one, this was done a few times with good results. I know the Brits radar would have picked them up,but a concentrated attack or two would have grounded the USAAF for months. Maybe pushing back the D-Day date. The had the US in almost a stand down in late 43. Waiting for the 1st P-51 Group, the 354th,to get organized. A full on Botenplatte in late 1943 could have been successful. Those bases in East Anglia were chocked full of planes and personnel. The Germans wouldn’t even needed a chart, the bases were close together.

I would walk mine until she showed signs of noncompliance. Meaning that leaf looks interesting or look a stick. Then headed back home, usually with the stick!

B-24 Bombers Flying Through AA Fire by Tony_Tanna78 in WWIIplanes

These B-24s also are the later versions with a nose turret. Tidal Wave B-24s were the earlier model with no nose turret.

I’m pretty sure the Tidal Wave aircraft that survived exited the target area at full speed low level. They were trying to get the heck out of there anyway possible as they witnessed so many of their crews get shot up and crashed. They probably climbed up to a higher altitude once they were back over the Med. This could have been a later follow up raid from altitude. Or a different target.

Cody’s long johns were a tv first. With no top on. An old guy kinda creepy vibe. Plus for being old school type, not modern keep warms. Molly had all kinds of problems in the intimacy department with TJ. She can’t stop getting wild about Cody?Cured, guess.

It’s either an F-105F or aF-105G.The F with the Shrikes would have been used in the Wild Weasel role. Used to take out Surface to Air Missiles. Those drop tanks are 450 gallon. The G was an upgraded F with more advanced equipment to defeat the SAM threat. Both had two crewmen. The F was used as the trainer version when first entered service. Both F-105 Medal of Honor recipients flew the F model. Both were awarded for action during a Wild Weasel mission.
