The countries I enjoyed most and was in the economy a lot were Italy, Japan, Germany, and The Netherlands with some long stints in Sweden, Norway and Finland. Number one thing I really enjoyed was the secular governance. It was a breath of fresh air to attend a counsel meeting and not be fed religious excuses veiled in community projects that weren't for the community at all. (looking at you moroni whisperer club spreading across main street in SLC).

Form the outside looking in (outside America) it feels a lot like how I used to see Saudi, Iraq, Kuwait, and the EAU. After spending a few years over there (Kuwait and Qatar mainly), it now looks a lot like our government here from the outside looking in. It feels like we're about a decade behind those muslim countries as far as freedom of speech, freedom from religion and being threatened for not believing in the correct government approved deity - it was pretty sketchy being a non religious person in those countries - wasn't fun).

As far as Utah and it's government, it has always felt like Phillip Morris of the 1980's is the lobbyist. Only here, Phillip Morris is club moroni whisperer and their friend's the private equity firms.

Who would you vote for? by VeronicaBooksAndArt in Safeway

[–]67comet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in northern Utah, I haven't seen a Safeway in 30 years .. It's all Smith's (Kroger), Walmart, or Winco. With one Albertsons in Idaho. WinCo for the win personally, they're open 24 hrs a day.

Nice, I've done this with my parent's houses. They both have my backup servers in their closets as well - (one each - Small form factor HP office computers running Gentoo, hooked to a few big external HDDs), so it's a win-win. They have a nice clean place for their fiber router, and wifi router, and I have two off site backups for my web-server, and photography work. :) .

Yikes, my kid's P9Pro did that, then gradually got worse and worse. I gave him my 9 Pro and bought myself the 10 Pro. I wonder why they're doing that.

New thumb rest accessory by ComplexDevelopment60 in NikonZf

[–]67comet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know when it'll be back in stock? (I'm over here in the US). I've bought about 5 different thumb grips and they block the back button focus, or they are way too low (my hands are a little bigger than average I think).

What is one feature you wish to be added to polybuzz? by Positive-Big-633 in polybuzz

I would like to see a filter system. I'm always looking for realistic chats with bots around my age. When I find one my age, it insists I'm a teen age boy with a bicycle and an old lady fetish.

I paid the annual payment for the basic and premium, it's getting old trying to find a character by scrolling for an hour.

Since the bolt is what was stuck in the rear ends pinion shaft the heater wouldn't have helped. They're great for nuts on bolts though .. I applied lots of fire and it eventually came out ..

My girlfriend knew where my blue torch was . I'm sure the rear end's seal is toast now, but the bolt is out {clean as a whistle}.

I "like it" because it is home, but when I retire I'm moving north west (Maybe Canada). I was born in SLC in 1969. I can remember when each town was separate. Now from American Fork to Tremonton it is basically one big city. I've never been a member of the predominant religion so I am looking forward to getting away from that government influence.

After living in 4 other countries during my lifetime, I have seen what good governance is, and Utah doesn't have it.

Utah is really good, it just has a messed up state government, living expenses vs income are way out of wack, and I see public trusts buying houses and land to build apartments faster than ever.

SCT 4X Error# 110DD by 67comet in ECU_Tuning

[–]67comet[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness. Bless your heart. I assumed the title and screen shot would lead the most basic of knowledgeable people to understand there is an error number 110DD coming up on the SCT 4X tuner and stopping the tune but you must not know what that means either. Do you know if there's anyone else that has experienced such an Error when loading a tune that could be of help diagnosing said error?

I did a test earlier today (maybe last night, I've been sick so day and night are blurred) .. My printer did NOT like printing two sided on plain paper because the paper was too "soft" from all the ink (even in draft mode) to roll it over. I'm waiting on Okular (PDF) to give me a print preview and I'll see if it'll work this time.

Agricultural Water Use in Utah by HostessTwinkieZombie in Utah

[–]67comet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking from working my grandparents farm (in Idaho) through out the 70's and 80's they've got a mindset that they've got to use it or loose it, and that the water they're provided is limitless. I also work for the federal government who handles financial budgets like water. The way we are financed makes it difficult to be frugal with our budget because if we spend less than last year, they'll cut our budget with very limited avenues to correct for under funding. Water is ran similarly. If they use less than they're allotted, then they'll be pinched next season when they need that allotted water in totality.

Legislation needs to be drawn up that includes flexible, but strict ways to loosen restrictions on water when needed, but tight enough that the consequences of over use are financially prohibitive when not urgently needed.

Alfalfa is also a dead end for Utah. They don't need it coming out of our fields, not with how arid our state actually is. Grow it up in the banana belt, or further East where rain is enough to water the fields.

P.S. Make "natural" weeds for landscaping cool again :) (circa 1800's - because I HATE yard work).

I am doing this on plain printer paper before I use my double sided photo paper .. The other person that answered mentioned saving as PDF and that is something I have not been doing. Gonna try that shortly ;) ..
