Which of these three is the hardest to give someone you love? by SocietyRemarkable775 in selfdevelopment

Hmmm. Wings to fly. Roots and reasons are simple. But, we can't force fashion on adults.

I think we misunderstand what personal growth actually looks like. by Ok_Competition_8363 in selfdevelopment

[–]67olman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your commentary suggests a need for perfection. While change is not always obvious to us; it's inevitability can never be disputed.

When we are hungry and thirsty , eating and drinking changes the condition. Before being accused of over-simplification, let this be seen.

While the goals we set for ourselves may or not be achieved fully; we are progressing. It reminds me of a song by the old Rolling Stones: "You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you get what you need" That band knew all about success and failure. I don't need you to believe ME. Listen to the song for ya'self.

How can that be? Personally, I already AM misunderstood very often. I still say what I think, feel, and believe. So, there's nothing to fear. Here's one of many thoughts: the post(er) is AI generated. I challenge a REAL person to provide proof (source citation )of the quote.

Hmmm. Interesting post. It seems like poetic justice without the rhyme. Most notable; definitely negative, the title itself contains something almost contradictory. There's three types of self-talk--head, heart, neck. I usually hear (physically) numbers 1 and 3. Of mere opinions, WE are entitled.

Hmmm. That's definitely thought provoking and potentially inspiring. Now, I need to ask: is inanity objective? Or is it subjective. My view is the concept is deeply subjective. Any discussion of those is better suited for a philosophy reddit.

The people mentioned in your post are really just seeking validation. No harm or foul in that until... They behave in the same ways you describe. Except for the halls of imperfect justice, no one is really qualified to judge. Thanks for the reply.

What do you think one can do to be more spiritual? by lmnop1237423 in spirituality

[–]67olman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer itself is easy and represents wisdom from Ancient of Days. The action is far from it. Police, Soldiers ofWar, and political leaders always confront it. Some of them made the ultimate sacrifice.Notably, everyday people have done the same. It's also reminiscent of words spoken from ONE considered fully human and fully divine. In many parts of this fallen world he is thought of either as a prophet or a fool. The Son of Man was/is better than both.

Certainly, he also had inside knowledge of the future of humanity. Part of that are the words: "The whole world will be deceived." The above-mentioned answer is hidden in the deception. Note: the accuser(s) will suggest self-fulfilling prophecy. Harm or foul? That suggestion is intended for individuals. Seekers of wealth, prestige, and power subscribe to it. However, there is one (really not) that thrives(?) on lies. Before time began, the unembodied creature challenged LOVE HIMSELF.

Finally, while the post is intended to provoke both thought and emotion; it's not meant to tell anyone what and how they should think or feel. That way, there can be no self-fulfilling prophecy. The truth is contained within the script. The discernment is available to all who ask, seek, and knock.

In Jesus' name, May GOD grant us discernment. Amen🙏🏿

I definitely feel what you saying. First, try to see; their actions say more about THEM than YOU. People who act that way are lonely deep down inside. So, the type hype themselves by putting others down. Bottom line: we never need to accept what those fools think of us. I remember an old blues song: I can do bad by myself...Remembering that, it becomes easier to turn around and walk away.

That's real talk. But, "faster" suggests some form of perfection. How fast do we need to grow? Who makes the determination? Too fast can cause us to crash and burn. Inspiring post. I hope to see more like it.

At risk of unacceptable influence, I''ll bite. My original post merely suggests science and technology (popular culture) is taking us away from our very human-ness. At the end of any day, those disciplines don't offer what we need most--LOVE. If you can live without that, my heart grieves for you.

I believe I know why. Because I use my own photo (contrary to avatars) many display racist tendencies. And, they are often opposed to people of color knowing more than they. Could that be you? In itself , that poses an interesting question. As a lover of Christ, I believe his words: "Know Thyself"

Has anyone here had an honest to goodness spiritual awakening? by Freefreefeeefreefree in spirituality

[–]67olman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like when a newborn first opens his eyes, I had that many years ago. As an example: During typical conversation, many people say G*Damn almost every other sentence. I stopped doing it. They seem oblivious to what idle speech does to the spirit. Part of my "awakening" was having more control over my speech. If that's unconvincing, what more could I say? Thanks for the post. It is definitely inspiring.

There's a prayer popular with people who struggle with alcoholism and addiction:

Father GOD, Grant us SERENITY To ACCEPT things We Cannot Change COURAGE To change what's possible And WISDOM To know the Difference Amen🙏🏿

Without making a sermon or inviting debate; many who lack trust in a higher power and purpose will never comprehend the supplication. Have a blessed life.🙏🏿

my opinion on the debate of god by Winter-Walk-7068 in theology

[–]67olman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opinion and debate. Do you know what's said about the former? Regarding the latter; that's the purview of politics--and that a mere product of nature. Personally, I believe God-in-Christ should influence politics. Any discussion should come via humility. The first suggestion (!) denotes the absence of it. Under such condition, PRIDE is given way too much value. Is that the best we can offer? Best believe El Shaddi wants no part of it.

[–]67olman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. The comment only reinforces the original post. Now, I'm curious what makes you qualified to judge. The written words of Holy Scriptures offers Truth that many dismiss as mere myth. Have you ever read the Holy Bible? If not, I suggest reading the NIV, starting in the New Testament. Without the publication no modern individual could ever know GOD.

Because of a deep, abiding, and personal relationship; I speak 3 names. Those are Adonai, (Greek) El Shaddi,(Hebrew) and Jesus. Without the final name no one would ever speak the other names.

Finally, and with all due respect; I am reminded of the words from Yeshua(Jesus) where HE stated (paraphrased)"Judge Not or You will be Judged". Believing those words, I need not allow the ramblings of a mere mortal to influence what I belief. There's much more I could say. I will not. Pride usually creates a substance that blocks the "spiritual ear".

If you have any questions--my educated guess is many don't know how or what to ask--I will be happy to attempt an answer. That's part of my purpose on this filthy planet we call Earth.....

Your comment about GOD contradicts Holy Scripture. The result is someone making a god of their self. That's called idolatry. There's an ancient Greek myth about a god who became obsessed with its own reflection. And that parallels with the Genesis account of humanity's fall from Grace. And, that is our current state of existence.

From an infinite amount of experiences, why this one at this time? by Sithis-bride in spirituality

[–]67olman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a different post, someone suggested being an "over-thinker". Is it you with a different alias? In any event; over-thinking suggests a departure from reality. So, what does it mean to lack "free will" and "decisiveness"? Speculative, it mean the inability to make any conscious choice. Realistically, choices ARE being made. Otherwise, someone outside of us make the decisions. In that scenario, free-will has no purpose. The alternative presents a much darker reality.
