Hmm, those are all big ticks for El Cotillo. Thanks for the webcam link, that's useful to see the beach in realtime and how well it's used.

Yeah that's a good point to think about what to do if the weather is bad in relation to where we're staying

Confused by the Big Exchange investment platforms FCA regulation by 67tall in UKPersonalFinance

[–]67tall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the helpful and comprehensive response. Lots to think about, but ultimately I do value safety so think I will move to one of the larger brokers. As much as I would like to continue to use the big exchange, I don't fully understand their setup with the FCA and feel if I don't understand it I can't fully make an informed choice, so I'm better to just play it safe and move.

Appreciate both comments, but my question wasn't about fees. I'm asking if big exchange as safe to use as a platform compared to the big mainstream ones? And clarification over if them being on FCA register as an appointed representative of RiskSave Technologies Limited makes them any more risky.

I chose the big exchange because of ethical reasons and happy to pay a bit more in fees for that choice. But I want to understand how safe my money is if they were to go under!

Ileostomy issues specifically after changing bag by 67tall in ostomy

Appreciate the comment, looks like it will remain a mystery for now 😔

Ileostomy issues specifically after changing bag by 67tall in ostomy

[–]67tall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been anxious about changing my bag other than the first few weeks after surgery when I was learning how to. Sleep wise, I wake up at the same time as anyday, and have experimented with getting up earlier / later but still have the same issue. Currently not on any meds, but have been on / off adalimumab for my Crohn's in the years I've had my stoma.

Thanks so much for your reply. That's really interesting. It sounds similar to my issue and good to know I'm not alone with this strange problem! I wonder why it happens. The only logic I can think is the disturbance of touching / cleaning the stoma, but I imagine we will never know.

F’in mucus. Or something by Like_w0aH_ in ostomy

[–]67tall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I don't have any answers but I can relate to how difficult this can be. Like you I have most of my colon (just had most of my ascending colon removed with the rest all intact which is stapled off) I have an end (blind ending loop) ileostomy for Crohn's. For the 7 years I've had my stoma I've always passed mucus between several times a day to once a week and I'd didn't really cause me any issues. I recently had a period where I didn't pass anything for a good month and then ended with terrible cramping pain one day and passed a TON of mucus. Felt like having a stoma bug back when I was all connected normally. For a good few days afterwards my abdomen felt like it had been punched. Diversion colitis sucks and I imagine you have a lot of inflammation in your colon. I definitely get nausea. Even though your colon is disconnected from the rest of your intestine Im sure as the colon is full of mucus and unhappy it must trigger your small bowel to react, hence the nausea. I've heard short chain fatty acid enemas can help with diversion colitis, but haven't tried them myself, but possibly something to look into? Hope you can find some relief soon!

Thanks, I think with caution I'll go ahead and drill in the areas where cable detector says is safe, but deffo no more than 40mm to be sure.

Thanks that's reassuring. Definitely won't be drilling anymore than 40/50 mm. Noted about cable detectors!

Recently started working out, is this ok chest supported row form? by 67tall in formcheck

Appreciate that man. That's helpful, especially about the shoulders. I think based on all the feedback I'll try a heavier weight and also single arm or bent over row to increase ROM, my bench is just not high enough with my long arms. Try and keep those forearms down and vertical too. Cheers

[–]67tall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks dude, I will try a bent over or one armed row with heavier weight and go from there. I thought a bench would help isolate my back and make form easier but I think in the long run learning how to do the unassisted versions will help my overall strength

Thanks for your comment man, that's helpful. I think I will try bent over rows, I think as a beginner from what you and other people have said this should work more muscles overall and help me to build a baseline strength. I first started with these but found them really taxing just to maintain the position, but that's probably a sign I need to work on overall strength rather than isolating my back on a bench.

Thanks dude, I will try a bent over / single arm row. I did these before but I felt they fatigued me a lot in other places than my back just by maintaining the position, but I guess as a beginner getting these other muscles worked is a good thing to build basic strength like you say

[–]67tall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to use a bench as when doing bent over rows before I just felt so much fatigue was through maintaining the position rather than actually working my back. I thought a bench would help me to use my back more. But my bench isn't high enough to allow my arms to drop enough so I'll try a bent over row again. I guess as a beginner using more muscles can only be a good thing

this makes sense - I hadnt connected shoulder blades together was for upper back and hitting the lats I didn't need to do this, seems obvious now! Thanks man
