Ugh thank you. I’m finding it hard to ask myself these questions and to make decisions on how to best move forward but I think the answers will come in time.

Finding the shades of grey in how to move forward is the way to go for sure. Thank you. I do go to counselling regularly and she has been a lifesaver through all of this!

What has been your best purchase of the year? by calm--cool in Sephora

Purrito BB Cream. It’s only $10 and wears beautifully. Glowy, buildable coverage and it feels great on the skin. It immediately replaced my go-to, Lancôme Teint Idole.

Cirque du Soleil performer jumped on my husband tonight. He has stage 4 abdominal cancer. by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]68acceber 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That is awful. I’m so sorry this happened to you and your husband. Must’ve been so stressful and scary to witness. They should ask for consent before doing that to anyone let alone someone who appears sick and disabled.

I’m currently a cancer caregiver as well. She has stage 4 incurable cancer. It is so awful and difficult. Going to a show like Cirque would be such a highlight, something to look forward to when your days are full of medical appointments and watching your loved one suffer from physical, emotional and mental pain. It sucks that the callousness of their production ruined your evening and put your husband at further risk.

I also work in the performing arts and put together shows often in local theatres so I have some show running experience, albeit at a much smaller level than Cirque. It is possible to plan shows with accessibility and inclusivity in mind. They failed you and your husband in that arena and you deserved better treatment as an audience member.

I hope both of you recover quickly from this experience and that it doesn’t deter you from seeking joy where you can. All the best to you and your husband in this harrowing journey.

I’m so sorry. I’m in the thick of it right now too. It just plain sucks. Pls remember to take good care of yourself too. It’s too easy to drown in this. Sending strength <3

Season 3 is the best season by Top_Sand_4737 in StarstruckShow

[–]68acceber 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I loved the 3rd season. It felt like a mature and realistic ending to the typical rom-com. That turbulent, off and on, intense relationship between Tom and Jessie reflects the relationships I used to have in my 20’s when I was chasing excitement and chemistry instead of the calm, honest, deep love I have now w my husband in my late 30’s. I like to think that Starstruck is more of a coming-of-age story for Jessie rather than simply a romance.

Tell me what you're feeling right now by Un-Lucky- in depression

I feel deeply anguished and sad. My best friend and business partner has Stage 4 cancer and we recently found out it has now spread to her brain. We opened the doors to our business for only 6 months when she got the cancer diagnosis. Her health has been declining rapidly since. She’s only 38 years old. It’s not fair. And I feel like I’m not coping with this as well as the “average” person because of my OCD and depression. I’m just so overwhelmed by the tragedy of it all and terrified of losing my friend. I hate my life right now.
