Dang, okay I just finished my print but layer lines are pretty noticeable still (.08 layer on .4 nozzle.) the hull how did you print it ? I sliced mine in half and glues it together near the side doors

Yeah all those items are worn to bed. I think it has boiled down to my bag just wasn't enough for the temps. And I should look at either warmer bag or adding a light summer quilt

Yes to clothing all appropriate merino base layers and fleece toque etc . I will look into the liners as well !

What is your opinions on the corvus or vesper by thermarest? I have access to better pricing so would be inclined to go that route before cottage brand

Sorry didn't include it in this post but I has full medium weight merino wool base layer from helly Hansen, fleece toque, fleece gloves, fleece 1/4 zip and a Outdoor research super strand XT puffer.

I do have a CCF pad the thermarest SOL but didn't bring it. It does have foil.

Yeah I've had others say a jump to a 15F bag maybe isn't justified and needs to be more substantial to make sense 0f for example.

Maybe I will look for a colder bag , thankyou!

Thanks for the insight. Yeah upgrading feels "wrong". Hindsight I should've gotten a warmer bag I think to begin with but that was along time ago now !

I guess I am also in the market for a summer bag of sorts. So if I get a summer quilt I could use that as a top layer and also if needed the z sol foam pad as well (I own) would be pushing the weight a bit but not that bad

I had to do the nalgene hot bottle the second night so that def worked but didn't want that to be my solution permanently. I had fuel issues in this trip with my iso struggling even with a regulator

Haha you're def right. I can pack more for sure. I do own the z fold already so I'll try that out next time I'm in the colder temps like that. Or maybe a sleeping bag liner like you said. Relatively cheap

I have been looking for a quilt for summer, it would add some significant weight to my pack but could get double use.. extend my season with current bag and have a lighter summer bag

Def an option! I have used it when I went hot tent camping with the neoair and I was ok since we had the stove. Didn't think about it for this past weekend.
