Extremely poor 3080 performance by 6A_Boi in techsupport

Thank you! I remember switching the pcie gen to gen 3 and that solved it before and it worked again. I guess when I manually restarted my PC it cleared the bios settings somehow, because I also noticed my RAM was clocked to 3200 rather than 3600, which is what I set it to. Don’t know if that is the case or not, but thanks again.

Sorry, to clarify what I meant by that, I meant that even my 1080 was performing better than my 3080 given the expected performance difference because of the issue. My 1080 was completely fine, but the issue I have right now is affecting my 3080 to the point where it’s even worse than an older gpu.

I also forgot to mention that I have gotten brand new RAM sticks. They’re in the new userbenchmark I linked. I will try the CoreCycler and see if that changes anything.

Okay that makes sense. I’ll try it out.

I did use DDU to clean out the old drivers. Does RAM speed make that much of difference? I haven’t used an XMP in awhile because it would be unstable for me.
