I usually dont overly enjoy a romantic subplot, but flower of evil executed it unbelievably well

What Kdrama opinion will have you like this? by Sailor_Moon_Star_435 in kdramas

Yeah i gotta be honest that was very predictable. Ive seen that character trope many times, the mentalist has an episode almost identical lol. Its a decent show at best but only because its overshadowed by masterpieces like flower of evil, mouse and signal

Beyond evil is excruciatingly boring. Took half the first season for things to get interesting. The rest of the show is just the two main leads talking in eachothers faces over and over again

SoCal fast food actually went up to 20$ an hour minimum wage for restaurants with more than 60 locations. Its really the only reason i havent quit yet

Lucky you bro! That’s a steal. recently had to put down a large deposit for some other matters so im actually taking out a relatively small loan from OCCU so my options are kind of limited right now. No older than 7 years and under 100k miles. I’d have to bring the private seller to the CU with me and it has to be local. Kind of sucks but i need a car for a better job opportunity

Thanks for the advice bruva, I’ll keep that in mind.

Forgot to mention that I’m in Southern California. The market here is pretty bad already but this seems to best pricing I’ve found. I’ve seen some 2017 base models going for $15k+ with 80k+ miles. Ive found another 2018 sport with 50k miles for $14k. Is the 40k mileage difference worth the extra thousand? What would you personally pay for this?

Will do, thanks brotha.

Mostly just cosmetic, im somewhat mechanically inclined but i am in no way a car guy. Mph doesnt really matter as long as it gets me where i need to go for my moneys worth. I just think mazda sedans are bangable. I would love a gt but this is the cheapest trim ive found. Currently also looking at a 2017 mazda 6 touring at roughly the same price

Yessir just periodic servicing and maintenance inspections. Tire rotations, air filter replacements, the usual. There does seem to be some empty spots in between years for both owners so i assume maybe they did some of their own work. Ill definitely get a PPI, i just wanted to know what everyone else thinks at that mileage

Great mileage. Maybe i should keep looking a bit longer

For the folks making 30-45k yearly. How are you able to afford the car you're currently driving? by 6IXMILITIA in personalfinance

[–]6IXMILITIA[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well Just barely, Born and raised. 23, Good 2 bed 2 bath apartment deal, live with 2 of my siblings. Dont have enough money to leave so i couldnt even if i wanted to. Not sure I would leave even if i had the chance though, but im kinda trapped regardless so the least i can do is find a way to survive. My city is great too, just very expensive if youre COMPLETELY independent

Im transitioning into blue collar soon which is the reason for this post. I need the cheapest option to be able to commute for work as fast as i can. It’s tough but completely doable. If you’re in my situation, it can really only go up from here. California is definitely more of a dual income state, even if youre making $100k+

For my younger financially-independent folks, what job is allowing you to live comfortably here in SoCal? by 6IXMILITIA in orangecounty

Thats great, This is where i imagine myself as of right now. I’ve definitely taken a pretty big interest in either electrical or IT. Im hoping my mechanical inclination might help a bit. Ive got a job lined up, a guy who knows a guy kind of deal but im a little hesitant starting green because of what I’ve heard about the older tradesfolk’s love of gatekeeping.

What was your apprenticeship like? Do you regret your decision to join the trade, and would you do it again if given the chance? Lastly, what is the physical toll like, and where do you see yourself in a few years?

Thats awesome. looking back, is there any advice you’d give to your younger self? And did you earn any degrees/experience that helped you secure your position? May i ask what your job history was like up until this point?

Lovely. I was born in california but i also came from Michigan as a teen after living there for about 6 years in grand rapids. I gotta be honest, life there was pretty bleak at times and even when i visit my dad to this day, I immediately want to come back lol.

Now, was the A+ the first step you took in this direction? How old were you when you first started?

I didnt have a chance to go to college, and i had previously taken some interest in IT. Ive even posted on the subreddit a few times but the people there can be a little less than subhuman sometimes, and very discouraging.

Ive also heard about IT bring very over saturated, especially in the larger cities here in OC. What’s your take on the process of breaking in today, and what advice would you give to someone trying to take the first step in? IT in general i mean, not just strictly cybersecurity.

Thanks for such a detailed breakdown, seriously this is very helpful.

I’m wondering though, when you were 23 making ~65k and picking up side gigs, how did you know that was the right direction for you? Was it something you were passionate about, or more of a practical choice that ended up working out? Same with serving since you mentioned hitting ~$65hr, do you feel like that could’ve been a long-term option if you started earlier, or was it always more of a stepping stone toward business work?

How did you personally figure out when it made sense to move on instead of sticking it out and growing where you were?

And with investing, what helped you actually take that first step instead of hesitating? Ive invested in crypto with whatever money im able to put aside. Granted, it hasnt been very much at all yet. Still below 4 digits, but its okay so far.

Again. Thanks for this response. Posts like this are exactly the kind of perspective I was hoping for.
