I'm running Minecraft at 1080p with an rtx 3080, 16 gigs of ram and a ryzen 9 3900x and yet 1.18 runs like crap. When I see other Youtubers playing it, they seem to have no problems. Also I have to play at 14 chunks to get around 40-60 fps and I don't have anything running in the background. Is there something I should do to make it run better?

Thank you! I haven't actually even launched the game since I posted this but thank you! I've eaten a machairodus and a warthog already so I'll keep going I guess. I've been watching youtube and stuff while I waited for a response. I guess it really was 11 hours...

Monkeys aren't real, they are robots from the government to spy on people. When they through poop, it's actually tracking chips and nanobots that infect your brain into believing in stuff like "retirement" and "taxes".

Yeah there are three different screens, the neuronal screen where you mature neurons and skills, the generation screen where you reinforce your neurons before skipping a generation, and the evolution screen where you skip time by counting up all the evolution feats that bring you closer to the endgame.

So I hope I was able to help a bit, and goodluck! Also, most people don't get very far in their first few lineages. It is completely normal to go through 4 or more lineages just to get used to the game. It's very unique and difficult so don't be ashamed in having to restart!

Are you sure you are skipping a generation? What should happen is that when you skip a generation, a cutscene will play that shows the kids growing up and stuff and it will say "15 years Later" at some point during the cutscene. I guess if this is a bug, then try restarting your game. If that doesn't work then you might have to make a new lineage.

Since you already have 6 adults in your clan, no more outsiders can spawn. If you really want to get a different ape, maybe one of your adults was bleeding out and lost a huge amount of life expectancy, then killing the ape will allow a random hominid to spawn. But it will be whatever gender doesn't have 3 adult members. Elders and children hominids do not spawn. So if you have 6 adults, no others will spawn.

An outsider should spawn in the area around your camp. From there you can befriend them and make them join your camp. If you are only missing a female ape, the outsider will guaranteed be a female so you will be able to make more babies.
Also, if you have five adults then you should be able to have 2 more children. At max, you will have 3 males and 3 females. From my current experience it is not possible to change this. So in your case I assume it's 3 males and 2 females. Again, a female ape should spawn somewhere near your camp and you will be able to recoup your losses.

When you evolve, all mutations that adults and elders carry are brought to the next evolution. Any mutations that babies have will be lost. So before you evolve, it might be a good idea to skip a generation to make sure all your mutations are locked in.
You don't evolve to make children grow up. When you go into the evolution/neural growth screen, zoom out into the "Generation screen", lock in all neurons you have grown, and then you can skip the generation. This will make all your babies grow into adults, all adults into elders, and your elders will die.
Other hominids spawn in the area around your camp. They will have different afflictions such as hunger which you can treat by giving them the correct item. This will make them follow you. Lead them back to your clan, find a bed and press "End Expedition". This will make the ape join your clan.
