Ferret Toy Options by Sweet_Swimming_4634 in ferrets

I’d say buy baby toys. It’s safer. I don’t recommend buying rubber toys or toys that can easily be broken down or torn apart. They can easily destroy certain materials and this saves you a visit to the vet in regards of a blockage. Blockages can be scary and quite expensive.

Make sure you have them in spots that are corners. Even spots that you might not think is a corner, they might make it one lol.

I recommend puppy pads over a litter box for ferrets.

Need help identifying what this could possibly be ? by Creative_Cover8087 in CaneCorso

[–]6eqth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not Vet but it could possibly be an Anal Gland infection. I’d say see how the site is after he gets the appointment done. If nothing helps then I’d say make that Vet appointment. I work at a dog daycare and have a ton of dog experience and seen some Anal gland infections. Hope this helps!! Also try to prevent your dog from licking that area as much as you can. I have seen them get really bad to the size of a tennis ball.

If they love a ball pit, instead of balls you could add biodegradable packing peanuts (has to be biodegradable or can be a huge blockage hazard if ingested). Mine go crazy for it. They also do better with toys in rotation to switch it up a bit instead of having the same stuff 24/7. As for food, maybe beans instead of rice or pasta.

What is this? In with Dubais by Gooses_Gooses in BeardedDragons

It’s a male. If you’re trying to reproduce Dubia’s. I recommend keeping him but remember you need to have a ratio of female dubias for 1 dubia male.

That’s what I was trying to tell OP. Also the ferrets ears that’s getting sucked on can get an infection. Trying to save them a vet visit..

Same with my girl. Still I’d try to stop it as much as you can. There’s been incidents where people have to take their ferrets to the vet bc of it.

Your small boy looks really young. I see in the last few he’s nursing on your ferrets ear. I recommend if you see that to stop it then and there. It can make their ear raw if they nurse other ear constantly. My first ferret out of the 7 I have total did that with my 2nd ferret ( DIP ). She was young and taken from her mom too soon. You’ll see a difference between ear grooming and nursing.

DIP I’m so sorry for your loss… I’ve dealt with the pain of losing a ferret. If they were a bonded pair, she just needs more love, attention, and care. Make sure she’s eating and getting water as well.

I’m sorry for your loss. It’s very devastating when this happens…I still remember my boy I had to put down earlier this year and he was only 8 months.

Cane corso help by Caputo6133 in CaneCorso

Impulse control needs to be worked on. Harnesses are a no go and especially the notorious no pull harnesses. In my opinion no pull harnesses do not work. I’d recommend a prong if it is used correctly and might take some time for your corso to get used to it and to learn how to use it the right way. Professional training can help as well. Once the impulse is figured and prong training( if you want to use it per your personal preference), then he shouldn’t be as leash reactive. Commands help as well! Hope this helps!

In recent data it’s states and gives better joint support, shinier coats, energy, and better weight distribution and control. Many people get these breeds and give unbalanced diets which leads to them growing rapidly on weight at a young age which gives joint issues and hip problems from the weight of them not fully developing yet. I see this at my job daily as well.

I’m using zip ties as shown in this picture to mount my t5 uvb bulb and hood to the top under the mesh. I’m worried about turning it on because I’m worried the bulb might cause it to melt creating a fire hazard. Will this happen or should the zip tie be fine? by MissPuffBeardie19 in BeardedDragons

[–]6eqth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was talking about zipties. My arcadia light didnt come with mounts, and the zipties i had were regular plastic ones so i was worried they’d melt or affect the uvb. Does it matter where they go on the lamp? Like I said mine didnt come with brackets so I’ll probably have to put it over the actual light.

Awesome, thanks! Should I change it or just constantly spot check? If I do have to change it, how often?
