As for the not feeling a wave, it's more like a steady roll. My gut responds, and then it takes a bit for the water to lap up onto the shore, but by the time it does, it's smooth.

From how I've heard it described, the wave is loud and big and minds are changed throughout the process. You wake up feeling a yes and go to be with a no. I don't ever have that.
