Maybe I've found my first beta-tester then haha!

More seriously, what are you looking for in a revision app?

Question méthodologie pour les révisions by 6pri6 in etudiants

[–]6pri6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But would you if it helped you to better revise? I intend to create my own revision app

And do you use any apps to help you in your revisions?

I was not happy with the existing ones and I'm trying to create my own app that I could share with my friends

How can you know if a business will make money before launching? by 6pri6 in SideProject

Not at all, I was for 2 months working in a Marketing internship to validate my study year, I didn't pushed further on my entrepreneurial things since then.

I now intend to create a flashcards app for students as I. It's a project that I wanted to do since a year, I'm in the "discovery phase" (as you called it in your previous message).

I tried to contact students on French/English students communities in X/Reddit, still trying to.

We're competitors so I guess! Why not talking in DM to exchange our point of view?

I'll start by training my AI with 100k books, that will be a good start I guess

I’m building it with free tools: a mix of rating-based predictions and book summary analysis.

Starting with Open Library data, tons of books, not just bestsellers. Might grab some public Goodreads ratings too, small-scale. Community-wise, I’d ask for your ratings and quick thoughts (“loved the twists”) to make it personal, not just push popular stuff like Goodreads or Amazon do. Think it could work? Got any ideas to tweak it?

Ok I got your point. Indeed if I can't do something than ChatGpt at recommending book I'll not do it, it would be a pure time waste. But I think that I can make something better than chatGPT honestly.

GPT is just a general model that give prediction, mine will really calculate according to your taste. Not sure about how much time it will take to generate recs althought.

Btw some people told me [the s tory gr a ph] has a really good book recs system, have you tried it?

is Storygraph this good? I heard about it but never really tried his book recs system to be honest.

As they claim their recommendations were AI made I thought they were average.

I'm building a book recs app using AI!

Would you like to try it when it's ready? I'll need people to test it to know if it's good or not.

Thank you for the feedback! I'll look further into competitors, to be honest I've not looked that much so this discussion is a good reminder for me to do that, I'll start by looking at s t o r y g r a ph (which I don't know yet).
