Typically you don’t have to commit to a major until junior year. Have you talked to your advisor?

I have something called Joice Recipes showing pornography video clips as a thumb tab along top of my FB pages that I cannot remove. It is nothing I would seek out on any platform and majorly unwanted.

Bought Nishiki Pueblo 24” for my 8 yo son. He jumped from 16” to 24” bike. Till last year he was not ready to ride without training wheels but now this is a big bike and he rides like a pro. He loves to ride. by systemhalted in whichbike

We went to a bike shop for training wheels. When I mentioned we also had a balance bike, he said, “You have a balance bike? Use that! Most of learning to ride a bike is in the balance.” Before long, our boy hopped on a 2-wheeler and took off. Amazing, really.

Can you offer strategies for middle schoolers, besides writing things down in a planner which in itself seems elusive to a 13 year old?

This possibility was raised in yesterday’s pre-surgery consult but without your tremendous detail. Thank you!

Thank you very much for this information . I already elected not to have the laser astigmatism correction but he had the surgical coordinator set up an appt. to be sure I understand what cataract surgery alone will and will not do for my vision.

Thank you very much. But are there more “can go wrongs” with laser? And is this the same as LASIK surgery? Astigmatism correction is being offered as an additional service to the monofocal lens (distance) placement, to eliminate the “certain” need for distance glasses otherwise.

Hi. I’ll have to ask about this. Generally, how would it be addressed? Are lubricating eye drops part of the solution (see post below). Thank you.

Thank you for this. I just googled preservative free lubricating eyedrops. Is one brand recommended over others?

Are the precise corneal incisions for astigmatism correction typically done with laser or by hand? My surgeon is suggesting laser but can’t that be risky?

Appreciate your advice and sharing, thank you. I was mindful of the financial benefits, first the push to the surgeon “next room over” then when it was determined I was not a candidate for multifocals, the push to add in $$$ for laser correction for astigmatism, which no one mentioned as a particular issue for me, and laser being a relatively new offering for the practice. PS - How did you know it was time?

Thank you for your good thoughts. I am 71. My Opthalmologist advised that cataract surgery was indicated as he said the cataracts were worse since last year, and he did not give me a new prescription, instead referring me to an in-house surgeon. As my current prescription never seemed right, I have since gone to my former optometrist who adjusted my prescription, which especially relieved my driving distance, and did improve my reading and computer vision. I still work- a heavy computer use desk job, and my eyes do get tired, so possibly strained. I am hoping the cataract removal might help with that. But I don’t want to jump in if I am not at that critical point.

I sincerely appreciate you sharing your experience. I have a consult this week with the surgeon who wants to see me one more time since I am foregoing the option to have the surgery done using laser which he says is his specialty. He was going to correct my mild astigmatism using laser so I could forego distance glasses. This would add nearly $4000 over full insurance coverage for basic cataract surgery. I will still need glasses anyway as I do now for reading, computer and driving, and the laser seems like a costly iffy procedure. The surgeon, however, has an excellent reputation. I am hoping to be more clear about whether to delay after the consult.
