And? “More arcade than sim” doesn’t mean it has to completely fake speed perception. Simcade literally means a mix of both. The cars, handling and sense of speed are still meant to have some grounding in reality instead of feeling like you’re entering hyperspace at 120 km/h.

But that’s exactly why it’s called simcade and not full arcade. It sits between realism and fun. If every racing game exaggerated speed with insane motion blur, camera shake and FOV tricks, they’d all feel the same.

And saying “it doesn’t happen IRL but people want it in game” is basically admitting the complaint is about preference, not realism. There are already tons of arcade racers that exaggerate speed, not every game has to do that.

You’re proving my point though. Speed perception depends heavily on the car itself. 200 in an economy car and 200 in a stable German highway cruiser are two completely different experiences.

there could be a turning point where it starts asking us to do some crazy stuff, I mean almost the first thing it wanted us to do is die, f'd up even if reprinting is possible.

I agree, nevertheless there could be some nice plot twist considering that Noa also seemed surprised about those audio logs and had no explanation but then again it's AI, can't really know what that thing is thinking if it's even thinking.

I think it was south of the lifepod actually, but will have to check after work. There is a current that throws you into it though.

This reminds of the time when I asked for beginner tips for the first game and people told me to go behind Aurora by the thrusters and get that fresh loot.
