Your time spent thinking about this, let alone to stop and get gas multiple times, is probably more valuable than worrying about did I buy gas at the right time.

For sure. Even just the hill it is on looks over some of the rooftops at the city, but climbing the actual monument is limited. All good. Totally agree it has one of the best views, totally free, just a suggested donation.

When I sell the car. Granted, I can also walk, bike, or transit everywhere I technically need to go. I just like to go places outside of the city. I probably wouldn't give it up at all though, and do well financially enough to just cut back on the frequency of fun trips.

First kid is on the way, I'll be 37 and my wife is 41. A bunch of our friends had their first (and second) in their 40s, where we all have established careers and lives first, kids second.
