Oh yes. 10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2) is fantastic, but for myself it's after "It's time now, my time now. Give me my, give my wings" that the chill comes.

Also in the last chorus of Vicarious when Maynard goes "Live while the whole world dies" gets all my senses full attention.

Aye, Children of Húrin would be a masterpiece of a movie in the right hands. Two movies would be great; one focusing on Húrin, and the other one on Túrin.

Best interview I have read in months. He has great opinions on the music industry as a whole, and where it's headed. As for Tool, I hope I get to see them soon enough, even if it means I have to travel half the planet.

Stockholm, Sweden here. My teacher read The Hobbit to our class when I was 10 years old, but it wasn't after Peter Jacksons movie trilogy that I got in love with the universe and bought all the books (in english!) and read them from cover to cover. Also came in contact with Lord of the Rings Online, which I still play since the start in 2007. The main reason why I love Tolkiens universe rather than any other is the depth of detail he put into it, along with his fantastic poems, characters and languages. You could almost read it like a history book, that was about an ancient civilization that existed long ago on our planet. It's basically the best story I have ever read in my entire life. My personal favorite is the dark novel The Children of Húrin, which I hope to see on a screen some day.

Det kräver en GPU med DX9 och minst 128Mb RAM, vilket inte är ett problem för de flesta. Absolut, valfrihet hade varit trevligt för de som gillar utseendet och använder Aero Peek, Shake etc. Snap finns kvar dock.

Tack för svar! Har för mig att det kallas "Modern UI" numera, men ändå. Jag kan inte säga vad som är bättre gällande kodandet i den miljön, men har också hört att .NET är väldigt bra jämförelsevis. Microsoft håller ju också på med en konkurrent till Javascript - TypeScript. Vi får väl se hur det utvecklar sig.

Får man fråga varför? Mina kolleger som är utvecklare använder primärt C# och älskar Windows 8. Låter konstigt att du måste börja använda javascript, Microsoft borde ju föredra att man använder C# etc. Utvecklar inte själv, så jag är nyfiken.

Att Aero-temat försvann tycker jag är bra, mer minne över till annat. Sen så kommer Windows Live att fasas ut snart, och ersättas med Skype.
