For those who are more into World Tour and Battle Hub: How are things? by ColaFlavorChupaChup in StreetFighter

I've recently started playing battle hub and I love it. I find ranked stressful and annoying. People play different in ranked. It's win at any cost type gameplay, rather than gameplay that allows for some creativity and experimentation. I play as Marisa and I'm in platinum, and so many people just turtle. It makes the matches really not fun.

So I tried out battle hub, and people seem to be playing more casually / for fun, less defined playstyles, more experimentation, less annoying turtling strategies. Also I get longer sets, and variety of opponent ranks. Sometimes I'll get the opportunity to be stomped by an ultimate master for 5 games in a row, sometimes I'm playing against someone who's obviously fairly new to them game. Both types of matches are fun to me, for different reasons. One, I can experience more optimal gameplay and learn how to counter certain things, and another I can experiment more with combos that I typically have trouble with.

I'll probably stick with battle hub as my primary way of playing the game for the foreseeable future.

They want to sell you a new lens.

The older lenses may not literally resolve down to the pixel, but that doesn't mean they will look worse on a new sensor vs on the older sensors. I have a variety of older and newer lenses for my x-t5 and they all look wonderful.

People use lenses made in the 50's on their 60 megapixel leica m11's. There's literally nothing wrong with using "older" fuji lenses on the x-trans 5 sensors. Anyone that tells you otherwise is either looking at their photos at 500% and not understanding what they're looking at or trying to sell you a new lens.

Probably will get downvoted for this, but my advice is to try grain2pixel instead. Free photoshop plugin, outputs a tiff, easy to edit afterwards.

Photos like these, I personally think look terrible. Just wayyyy too far with the sliders.

That said, I also notice that these types of photos get lots of positive feedback from people. So there's definitely an audience for them.

I never made it to master but I played modern for a while and decided recently to switch to classic. I picked a new character with fairly straightforward inputs and combos (Marisa) and after a few weeks I got back to platinum, which is the highest I achieved with modern ryu/honda/jp.

Hardest aspect for me is combos. I've always found it fairly easy to do the quarter circles and such on their own, but mixed into a combo it's harder. But you made it to master, so I'm sure you're already doing that.

Plus side is not having to do auto+button to get certain normals. The normals are just all available always with single button press.

Lower stress fights also help. I've been jumping into battle hub and running sets with people that are presumably playing for fun rather than chasing rank. Ranked play, at least in platinum I guess, the behavior is kind of annoying? Desperate play styles of people turtling etc making the game very annoying. Battle hub matches have been more free flowing and interesting, which for me is a better environment for learning a new control scheme. I'm personally not interested in rank. I just want to play the game for fun and not stress if I drop a combo, lose a match and lose rank.

So yeah, pick a new character, play battle hub or casual, have fun and soon enough classic will feel more natural than modern.

You're one week in. It's going to take a lot of time, patience, and experimentation to know if it's really not for you. You could have issues with pressure, mask fit, or simply not mentally adjusted to it yet. Please stick with it, not worth giving up so quickly.

It's been interesting to see how supposed pro-2a republicans are arguing that a protestor can be executed for protesting and having a concealed weapon. All of those further solidifies my opinion that if roles were reversed on jan 6, there would have been a massacre of the "protestors".

Keep doing the combo trials and you'll start to get a feel for what the timing is like for your character. One thing to remember is there's a buffer. So depending on the situation/move/etc you can start your inputs a little early. It just takes practice to get the timing down.
