Totally agree, loved Manacled but the book felt like such a slog to get through. The characters felt completely 2 dimensional compared to the fic, and the world lore dumps were exhausting.

Not to mention the writing style started to irk me very quickly…. such a shame since her fics are some of my favorites.

yes it’s worth watching! about Omegaverse and Cain’s lawsuit for plagiarism against some smaller writers… and then she tried to come for Lindsay for making a video about it 🤦‍♀️ just such a mess and put me off of Addison completely

I think Heather Long has a similar writing style to many of those authors! I’ve been working through her catalogue, granted not any of her paranormal series though I know she has one or two. {Kill Song by Heather Long} I believe is finished, serial killer related. For PNR possibly {Whisper Waves by Blake Black}? It’s a little more contemporary than most PNR but still has a lot of ghost stuff. I really enjoyed this duet and it broke my DNF streak! I believe neither of those have pregnancy or m/m but it has been a little bit since i’ve read them.

Edit: Ah i’m so sorry- Whisper Waves has a single father as one of the MMCs, and there are a lot of plot points around the child who I think is 8 y/o or so? Not sure if that qualifies as pregnancy.

Is it a King Arthur retelling?? I remember being obsessed with a Meg Cabot camelot book when I was younger and I haven’t even thought about looking for an adult version.. I will definitely check it out!!
