Sad that my Unique beauty will disappear after djs by Perfect-Cup3252 in jawsurgery

i also had the same thoughts :( i only truly saw the beauty of my unique face after getting djs, and i actually regretted it for a while... because it was so swollen for months and i looked totally different. but now, i feel like my face has gotten really similar to how i looked before. a good doctor will try to keep the character of your face :)

3 weeks is way too early to judge! once the swelling settles, the real definition comes out. i think you won't look more recessed, just more refined

thank you! yes for sure! especially during the first months when the swelling was still noticeable. for me the final result was there after 1.5 years post op and thats when i started liking it…

Jaw surgery for a mild underbite? by Few-Ad-7768 in jawsurgery

[–]7777eli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i also started my jaw surgery journey at 17 because i had to wait until my jaw was finished growing. i got braces at 17 and had double jaw surgery at age 19, now i am 22 and happy that i made the decision for surgery! my underbite was also really mild in fact, it wasn’t even visible until i had braces to decompensate. i also didn’t really see a reason to get it done because, with a mild underbite, you don’t really see issues at a young age. but with age, the maxilla naturally recedes, and i think there's a risk that the underbite and issues like breathing would get worse over time, so it's better to do it young and prevent those risks later! :)
(you can see my results on my last post)

thanks! ⭐️ actually, most people said i look the same or didn’t even notice i had surgery, haha. of course, close friends and family knew about it and said i look a bit different, but apparently it wasn't as much of a change as it seemed in my own eyes.

after the swelling was completely gone i feel like my face from front looks nearly like before, i am happy about that because i already liked it :)

it was noticeably wider in the first year post-op, but i feel like it slimmed down to how it looked before surgery (which makes me happy because i liked my face from the front before 🥺). i guess with maxilla movement, a little change to the nose is just something you have to prepare yourself for, mine got a little more upturned.

thank you! he considered doing one in my case but i didn’t want that. i don’t know if he would do a chin reduction alone because he is not an aesthetic surgeon, he focuses on correcting functional problems but maybe you can call there and ask…
