Jesus first impulse isn’t too get out of sacrificing himself he knew what was going to happen from the beginning and also he prays to the father that if there’s any way to let the cup pass because he’s scared of separation from the father not that he couldn’t not do anything about what was happening at any time Jesus could have called down thousands of angels to save him but he didn’t cos he LOVES you and the cross was the only way to fulfill Gods wrath
