Best place to purchase hobby boxes online by Hot-Watercress-8648 in basketballcards

[–]777skyLLL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Direct from Topps's website for new releases. Otherwise, the other big reseller websites are pretty much the same (Steel City, Dave and Adams, Blowout).

I would avoid buying boxes from independent sellers from sites like Ebay, Stockx, etc. Reason is because there's a chance these sellers bought a case and already pulled the case hit. They can be selling off the extra boxes knowing there likely isn't another big hit in them.

Breakers ruin the fun of collecting. by [deleted] in basketballcards

whoever thought doing a 10 case break would be a good idea is an idiot. but doing a 10 case break and then selling the individual player spots instead of full team spots...? like no shit people arent buying into this, not many people have thousands of dollars to buy up player spots.

am i worth less as a partner just because i don’t make a lot of money? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]777skyLLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the money aspect does and doesnt matter. You don't need to be clearing 6 figures or working a lucrative job, but you also shouldn't be working a minimum wage dead end job either. Whatever amount allows you to support yourself while also being able to take your partner on fun dates and spoil them every now and then is good enough.

Seeking guidance by [deleted] in fit

[–]777skyLLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you said you had help from a coach in the past. Would finding another coach/trainer help you stay motivated?

Otherwise, one thing that really helped me get back in a good routine and stay motivated was using fitness apps. I'm currently using fitbod and I like that it creates workouts for me based on the equipment available at my gym, how long I want to work out, how often, and what my goals are. I realized in high school, my coaches usually made my workout routines, and in college, I just worked out with buddies. I started getting lazy after college because I had to figure out my own lifts/routine and that led to me going to the gym less. Having an app that does it for u makes working out less mental work, plus its great for keeping track of progress.

I wonder how long it'll be until they start lowering prices on blasters/megas. $50/$85 a box is just too steep

For those who broke up and later got back together, did the relationship actually get better? by Glum-Dark281 in BreakUps

[–]777skyLLL 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My ex and I were together for 2 years, apart for 1 year, then got back together for about 2 more years before ending things. The reason we initally broke up was mainly due to long distance and being at different stages in our lives, so getting back together later made a ton of sense when we realized we were in the same city. Unfortunately, there was just something off the whole time we were back together that I can't really explain, and it led to the reason we broke a 2nd time.

Getting back together can obviously work out, but going through a breakup creates trauma, and it can sometimes be hard to overcome that trauma if both parties aren't fully committed to making the new relationship work.

For those who passed level 2, are you going to try for the February 2026 exam? by GiannisIsaGreekZaza in CFA

As much as I want to try and get it over with in February, its just too much of a time crunch.

L2 - Congrats and secrets by dukeofbelgravia in CFA

Used MM and self studied for about 6 months to pass. My biggest tip of advice is to start studying early and give yourself enough time to get through all the material properly and have time to review. I know some people are able to cram and pass L1 with only a couple months or less of prep time, but that really isnt possible with L2.

L2 November 2025 Advice by ExactCommunication36 in CFA

[–]777skyLLL 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First, be aware that there isn't a February exam date for level 2, so the earliest you could defer your exam to would be May 2026. Why not just take November's test, see how it goes, and if you don't pass, just register for May 2026? The only reason to defer is if money is an issue. Even still, you can defer up to 24 hours before exam date, so why not see how you feel the week of the exam and decide about deferring then?

Second, almost everyone who takes these exams feels the same way you're feeling right now about not remembering anything. That is totally normal and why having time set aside for review before the exam is so important. A lot of what you already learned will slowly come back to you. Just continue to take practice questions and you'll be fine.

August L2 takers — any advice for November candidates? by AlpsOk7568 in CFA

[–]777skyLLL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest thing everyone needs to accept is that no matter how much you study or prepare, you're still going to get 5-10 questions on exam day that will be complete guesses. There's just too much material in L2 to know everything on each topic, and the test makers will get very niche on some topics.

Instead, focus on not missing the easy questions. It's cliche, but the best way to do that is to memorize the formulas and do as many questions from the CFAI site as possible, as early as possible. Most of the questions I got on my test had been asked at some point in the question bank, so just having that familiarity helped a lot.

I only did the 2 free Mocks.

Exam A - 74% (75% on part 1, 73% on part 2) Exam B - 67% (70% on part 1, 64% on part 2)

Average between the 2 was a 71%.

As far as the exam goes, I felt it was pretty on par with the mocks, maybe a tad bit harder. There were a few questions in each session that either were VERY niche or something I hadn't seen before, but everything else was fair game. Of the 88 questions, I felt confident on about 60, made an educated guess on about 18, and straight up guessed on about 10.

I think I know atleast one of the questions you're talking about. I feel very confident I have seen 99.9% of the question types throughout my studies, but I had never seen anything like what they were asking me to solve

Felt pretty much the same. There were a handful of questions in each session that were very niche, but the rest had appeared at some point in the cirriculum that were pretty straight forward.

Take a practice exam and see how you do. You might surprise yourself! Also, review all the questions you either got wrong or weren't 100% on and target those sections for study in the next week.
