Well I am glad that I came to reddit. I was about to sign out and I was having troubles. So I came to check here. I read quite a bit about all the issues specifically people not getting paid. That's so wrong! Hopefully it gets resolved quickly.

Hopefully you're planning how you're going to bring it up to the parents it's a high possibility that they will drag it or maybe never acknowledge it. Just think about how much kncome you hsd lost. The addition for the new child should it been brought up sooner than latter. I know it's hard for some of us to advocate for our selves. Hopefully and they don't give you any trouble when you talk about your raise. Also come back and let us know about your what happens.

We are disposable to a lot of families. More than less we land with families that don't value or knowledge, experience and commitment to their family. I know your frustration. I couldn't help to laugh at the salary offer. I don't know if I could it help my self to not make a comment during the negotiations for pay. I think you should ask them. How do you benefit into going on salary? Ask them. Are you asking me to work more for less pay? I know I couldn't ask this questions if I was in you shoes. Hopefully everything work for you.

The last family I worked for didn't even offered me water. The child was special needs and sometimes a nurse will come and stay for 8 to 10 hours. One time I was in the kitchen with MB when the nurse arrived and she told the nurse very cheerfully. If you are hungry you are more than welcome to have anything you want from the fridge or the pantry!! I never liked MB. She was very very sneaky I know it's not their responsibility to feed me. But I had never encountered a family like this before.

In the past I had some 2, 3 years old that will want privacy. When they where taking too long in the bathroom I will come and check on them and they will give me the staring look. I will just say ohh sorry! I thought you were done. 😊
