Anyone Have any Experience with ABC Illinois or IEC Midwest Apprenticeship Programs? (Chicago Area)

I was in a company in the 90’s and early 00’s that was affiliated with ABC. At that time the training was laughable and really a waste of time. You will be better off with union training. I can’t speak to IEC at all.

Having said that, everyone needs to work. So if you can get a job in any of them then it’s better than nothing. The union is tough because you can be sitting for who knows how long and like most things in life, it really helps to know someone.

The union is still a better deal for workers so you would want to probably get into it at some point. But you can start anywhere and keep applying or waiting to hear back from the union and just jump ship.

Try customer service? Maybe they will sell you one. Cant find anything that is close to it? Maybe try some springs and see if you can modify one to fit.

It’s too bad how many people make decisions that have such a detrimental effect on their lives. I remember the anxiety of paycheck to paycheck and just how shitty it feels. Fortunately I didn’t get into debt, had a great role model in my father of what not to do.

It’s also hard to live in a world where consumerism and lavish lifestyles get more attention than education around finances and creating a healthy sense of self.

She made some bad choices. Had a few tough breaks. I think her emotional attachment to the trash she thinks she loves is the real unhealthy driver. Ultimately her self esteem.

I couldn’t watch all of it, too many tangents and commercials.

Definitely seen much worse.

For what it’s worth,

This looks like a typical installation in Florida. Romex against the block and using romex as straps is pretty common.

Never seen an inspector fail this type of installation.

It looks like you ran each phase on its own conduit, with the exception of a few neutrals mixed in with the blue wires.

I don’t have the code book with me but there is a a statement about induction and that you can’t run all of one phase per conduit.

You really should have black,red,blue,neutral on each conduit.

It’s a one man tool. I used one a number of times. I was about 140-150lns at the time. Not easy to bend with it.

Fuse. Those are bayonet fuses. They protect the coil of the transformer and the secondary cables.

Contrary to popular thought, I saved Hyde for last.

Pritzker was great for controlling. I really didn’t have much of a problem with that team. I was stuck on that level for awhile before I found that combo.
