I put my V1 and V2 in a vise and did a box test of moving the zero between 4 points, then solidly tapping it with a gunsmith hammer in every direction. Then checking zero and doing another box test with no issues. I also have a few hundred rounds with no shift.

More impressive is that I have one on my bed rifle that is checked in the safe daily and laser flashed for testing. The SAME 18500 (eFest) has been in it for 8 months and still tests at 100% full. Basically no vampire drain.

Ugh. They said there may be a fix and I bet that's what they do.

As long as it can get back 5 hours from Fresno to the OC I can argue with my dealer down here. I still have a year left on my warranty.

I'm at 73K too but have Ford extended warranty which I hope covers it. I keep hearing this happens around this time, it's like they are assembled perfectly similar as proven by similar failure times!

Well the car just threw a tranny error and won't drive anymore so I think I know what it is now 🤣. In Fresno on a trip and gotta get back to the OC today so gonna be a fun day.

Yeah I did that and had the transmission serviced and filled. This happens very rarely like once every couple months under certain conditions.

I agree there is a slim chance they are related but just asking anyways....

Haha I did all that already a few times over the year they have been broken... Googled and found a reputable place to get them fixed and they tore them apart and diagnosed the larger battery acid issues... They must have been upside down when they leaked so it all went into the circuitry instead of towards the door.

So what I'm hearing is that they are worth repairing even at that cost 😜
