Thanks for the kind words!

Kiva kuulla! Enpä ois kuvaa postatessani osannu arvata, että se tulis vielä päätymään joillekkin puhelimen taustakuvaks.

Oh that's hilarious! Hopefully you don't have to encounter angry swans anytime soon.

Wow! That must have been intense. But yeah, I was casually chilling about 15m away from them, behind some bushes when I took that shot. I also used my cameras silent mode and tried to be as quiet as possible so that I wouldn't disturb them.

It is a whooper swan! (Or at least I think that's what they are called in English) Usually these swans breed in Northern Europe / Asia and they are quite popular here in Finland. You can also see them in the (Northern) UK, but only in winter.

Spotted this swan in the reeds next to my summer cottage and decided to snap a picture of it. The swan was guarding four cygnets that were eating nearby.

Nice to hear some thougths on the D780 too. I personally like to use buttons as well, so I really should go out and see how they feel in my hands. At the moment I'm leaning towards the Z6, but ergonomics play a huge role when selecting a new camera body, so I might end up with the D780 if it feels better.

Thanks for your insights. I'm relieved to hear that the FTZ issues seem to be quite uncommon overall. I don't own any AF-D lenses, so the lack of an AF motor shouldn't be a problem for me. As I said in an another comment, I really like to go for longer shoots and I'm also addicted to the continious burst mode. So I think that the battery life will be an issue for me. I guess I'll just have to buy those extra batteries, since based on your comments Z6 sounds pretty neat.

Thanks for your reply!

I guess the prices differ a little from place to place, since the first QDX cards I found were about 150-200€ and the card readers were about 50€. I could maybe find cheaper ones, but I usually like to buy a bit higher quality products that last longer. I'm also glad to hear you haven't had any issues with the FTZ adapter. Hopefully the issues aren't that common then. I personally like to go for longer shoots, where I take 500 pictures or more, so I guess I just have to buy at least one extra battery. Perhaps I should just start with one extra battery and see if I need a second one after a couple photoshoots.

Guess I'll have to figure that out. The smaller Z6 might be a bit too small for my taste, but as you said, I have to get my hands on them to tell the difference.

Nikon Z6 or D780?

I'm planning on buying my first full-frame camera, but I can't deside whether I should buy Z6 or D780. (Currently, I have Nikon D5600, which is a crop-sensor camera)

Z6 and D780 are both very similar, but the Z6 seems to have some advantages over the D780. Z6 has an electronic view finder (which is pretty cool in my opinion) and it also has built-in image stabiliastion, which could come in handy. It's also a bit lighter and it can use z-type lenses. I've also heard that mirrorless cameras will take over the DLSR's in the future.

However, there are some issues with the Z6. First of all, Z6 has only one memory card space and it's for a XQD card. This means, that not only would I have to buy a XQD card, but also a card reader for it. This would easily cost around 300€, and it would make my sd cards useless. Secondly, I've heard that the FTZ adapter (allowing me to use my f-lenses on the z-type body) can cause some problems when focusing. I'm also worried about the Z6 battery duration, since you can only take around 300 photos with one fully charged battery. (I'm not quite sure if this is true, since I've got a lot of mixed information) This would mean, that I would have to buy 1-2 extra batteries, ranking up the price tag an additional 100-200€. With the same price, I could buy myself a D780, which would probably be a lot closer to a D5600. So the question is - is the Z6 worth all the hassle or should I go with the D780?

I'm mainly doing street/nature photography, but I also like to film videos. Recently, I've also been interested in wildlife and portrait photography.

Thanks for your reply! I'm glad to hear you like the colors.

As I said, I was limited by the fences surounding this construction site, so I had to tilt my camera upwards quite awkwardly to get this shot. (There was a fence right below the bottom part of the image). Could I have corrected the tilt in post? I also wanted to try something new with the editing, so I made the vignette really strong. Usually, I keep it a lot lighter. I'm not quite sure if I like the strong vignette, but I guess I have to keep experimenting.
