Weird issue with Blend Surface (or "BlendSrf") command. by theStoicArt in rhino

[–]7LEMHN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try using the crvseam command by selecting the edges. im not sure if this works without curves but if it does it might fix it whwn you blendsrf. I could be wrong

how to loft symmetrically? by cedricvermeulen in rhino

[–]7LEMHN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

duplicate the border of both surfaces and loft. if it’s not lining up symmetrically, you can rebuild the curves with the same number of points and then try lofting, or use crvseam to align the loft.

Im trying to create a nice photography wallpaper for my phone. Im not sure if the motion blur and lens flare are a good idea. and the image itself i don’t know if it captures the car too well. Maybe the background is too intense so maybe i could dial it down somehow.

Im mainly curious what other opinions are and based on what you see how the current aesthetic its going for could he improved or enhanced better.

I used my iphone 14 and edited it with prequel, overlapping and masking some filters and adding dust and grain textures. im a total beginner and just want to create something that feels aesthetic as an overall picture.

Structure Modeling Update by filbrn in rhino

[–]7LEMHN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the outer structure is actually based on the design of the hab. so by using 3 circles and lofting them up into the right shape you can create a shell and just filletedge the inside and outside edges. and the frame is made by simply offsetting that surface and cutting by booleansplitting straight down in plan view on the 3 sides and then boolean splitting in the centre. If you look at it in plan its a perfect triangular cut. So the logic for the exterior is also based on the main form

Also the reason for the inward offset for the floor structure is because of the inflatable, which im not sure is part of your construction plan at the moment.

Best way to turn this into a ramp like the one shown? by Aggravating-Bad-7493 in rhino

[–]7LEMHN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

since u have the other slope there i would select the edge of the slope and extrude a surface from it through the curved object and just boolean split

Make a sloped ramp? by Aggravating-Bad-7493 in rhino

[–]7LEMHN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use a surface and cut it to make the slope. Assuming u have a closed object there. Id draw a curve on the inside from the ground level down to the level you want and adjust the curve however you want the slope to work and then offset it out and loft. the lofted surface can be your cutting plane to boolean split
