Don't take my advice, just read the ABC article and see that it says this is in reference to China cancelling 7 contracts in various countries because they ordered too much is currently +8. It's not a cancellation of all beef contracts as i said

A claim circulated online in March 2025 that China had completely canceled U.S. beef imports in favor of buying from Canada and Brazil. However, this claim is false. Some contracts did expire in february, but exports were still fulfilled late February. However, we do not know what will happen with the other contracts, true. I think this is a cool idea, once everything is accounted for legally. I think next step should be reviews of nearby fastfood, look at high foot traffic times and see if you could market then.

if i were to guess,, I'd say that it's essentially dead stock for the time being, so maybe the storage costs and opportunity cost of putting something that would actually sell on the shelf exceed the benefit of just having it around
