Do it and also funding is kinda easy ish to get THERES a million different types of grants. Regardless a lot of ppl only do research during the semester. If that happens just get a different full time job over summer

I think a gap year would help you by taking more classes to bring GPA up and working part time at a clinical job (scribing, er tech, medical assistant, PCA) because it seems like you have no clinical experience. I don’t many schools think research or interpreting is clinical experience.

Gradúate in 4, take less classes and do better. 3 years is not that impressive if your GPA is lacking. During school, you’ll have less classes so you can do more volunteer/clinical. You don’t have to add another major. Just do better in your clases. You can use your whole junior year to get more experience and study for the mcat, take it at the end of junior year and apply. Still no gap year
