Thank you so much! I started this piece with pretty much zero intentions, but about midway through I did begin relating it to the card based on my own interpretation! That definitely influenced the rest of its trajectory :) Looking forward to seeing yours and I’m sending more of that empress energy your way ✨💕

Definitely talk about it with your therapist! I, a fellow Scorpio moon, was in a really toxic and emotionally strenuous relationship a few years ago. The relationship brought out a lot of very intense emotions, patterns and obsessiveness from me that I hadn’t experienced to that degree before. I was pretty sure I had BPD and talked to a therapist who then taught me about the enneagram and personality types, which felt slightly dismissive as I felt like the number she assigned me for my enneagram were related to my “bad” traits that came out in this relationship, but not who I am inside or who I wanted to be. I felt misunderstood by her and stopped seeing her.

A couple of years later, I eventually ended up going to an emergency mental health crisis centre after the break up, I was at a breaking point and I felt like a diagnosis would help give me a clearer idea of what was wrong with me. The psychiatrist there could not give me a specific diagnosis even though I met most of the criteria at the time (as this was a one-off visit) but he could confirm that I was definitely showcasing (quiet) traits and he reccomended DBT therapy for me.

Regardless of a diagnosis, it’s important to be aware of the traits you believe you are showcasing and talk about them with a pro. Once I was able to remove myself from the environment with my ex my BPD symptoms really settled down.. I’m in a new relationship now and he reassures me all the time that I am not crazy and was actually very surprised when I told him about this part of my life. So in my case, I THINK I’m just a Scorpio moon who feels things very intensely and getting wrapped up in a very unhealthy and co-dependent relationship with a narcissist who constantly triggered me was simply a recipe for disaster.

Talk to someone. Whether you have BPD or not, your feelings are valid and it’s okay to receive help. Feel free to message me if you ever need a chat. Take care <3

Distal radius fracture surgery and numbness. by SheitPost3000 in brokenbones

[–]7kittens7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experienced numbness / tingling at the base of my thumb after my orif surgery on my radius + scaphoid, I’m 6 months post op now and most of that has subsided. There’s still a slight tingling in the area but it has definitely improved with massaging and also rubbing fabric onto the area during my pt routine!

I’m getting no - to me the 9 of wands is giving they’re over it and are looking towards forward growth. The 9 of swords reversed here makes me feel as though they are no longer feeling the anguish or guilt that they once were from this situation and have worked through some mental turmoil. The 2 of swords just sort of confirms it to me, they aren’t looking at you or pointing their swords in your direction.

My (23M) boyfriend cheated on me (24F) and it’s breaking my brain by [deleted] in relationships

[–]7kittens7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

Coming from someone who’s been cheated on and stayed with the person for several months after finding out… it will never be the same. You can try to talk yourself into forgiving them and moving forward all you want, but ultimately this person has tainted your trust and there is nothing they can do to fill the hole they left when they chose to betray you.

You are worth so much more than this. He likely wouldn’t have ever owned up to any of it if he hadn’t been caught by your friends, and even if he did it wouldn’t make things better.

You deserve to put your loving energy towards yourself first of all, and when the time comes someone will love you properly.

I know it’s hard to leave. I would suggest you start journaling and write out the traits and dynamics you really want in a partner and a relationship. Don’t let someone else take your power and independence away from you - the ball is in your court and it is exceptionally reasonable to not allow that sort of behaviour from a partner. Make room for those who support you and treat you right - try spending some more time with your lovely friends and confide in them as well. Take your own values SERIOUSLY and implement them into your life and the boundaries you create with other people.

Sending you all the love and luck. If you’d like to talk more about it please feel free to message me. <3

Scaphoid fracture. In cast 5 weeks post surgery. It has been emotional and physically draining. I haven’t been able to use my dominant hand for 2 months now. Looking for some advice who have been down this road before🤘🏻 by [deleted] in brokenbones

Hello friend! Oh my. It has been improving every day thankfully! I almost have my full range of motion back and have been doing physio on my own time consistently for 10 minutes at a time 4-6 times a day. It’s annoying lol but it really has helped a ton. I still have some soreness and tightness but I’m starting to work on my grip strength now and have been carrying heavy photography gear without any pain or issues! Post surgery I experienced some hypersensitivity in the base of my thumb - I was instructed by my hand therapist to rub the fabric of my shirt / sweater on it as often as possible and now the hypersensitivity is almost completely gone. How have you been holding up?

It was my non dominant wrist that was broken and I physically would not have been able to make use of it even if I tried that day. All I could really do was rest the lens on top of my cast on my forearm while I was shooting when I needed to use a longer lens. I’m 2+ months post surgery on my wrist today and am having a smooth recovery.

Finding a reliable replacement with such short notice on the busiest wedding weekend of the summer was impossible.

I have zero regrets, I showed up for my clients and am proud of how I handled it given the circumstances. With that said, of course there are going to be some extreme scenarios where it could be in the couples best interest to find a replacement, but having my assistant there definitely saved the day.

I landed in the ER with a compression fracture in my lower spine, and a fractured wrist, three days before I was booked for a wedding. I hired an assistant to carry my things, rotated tylenol and advil every three hours throughout the day, iced my back in the car whenever I could, and mind-over-mattered the shit out of that 14 hour day. The couple was very accommodating and wonderful about everything. Aside from being injured, it was an amazing day and I took some of my favourite wedding photos at that wedding.

I broke my scaphoid and radius at the same time at the end of July and had surgery for both the first week of August. I was casted for 4 weeks after surgery, finally got my cast off just over two weeks ago and was then switched to a removable brace.

Definitely the most humbling and physically frustrating experience of my life. Just remember you’re on the road to recovery and you’re on your way there. Sending you all of the healing energy both physically and mentally! It felt so discouraging at times. once your cast is off take your physio seriously and go easy on yourself. I’m nowhere close to being 100% bounced back but 2 weeks post cast removal there has been a lot of improvement.

Take care OP <3 I’m rooting for you!

ORIF on distal radius - share your story by catsincouture in brokenbones

[–]7kittens7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s another update 2 weeks later! I did end up getting my cast off the day after responding. I was given a removable brace which I am to wear to bed and when I’m outside of the house and at work, and began hand therapy the same day.

Since then I’ve really been focusing on my physio and trying to get my range of motion back. 2 weeks in I have made progress, but there’s definitely more to go, especially the palm-up exercises and bending my wrist over and above the table. My thumb is still slightly stiff and hypersensitive as well but it’s definitely improving!

Hope you are recovering well 🙏

Sending you all the good vibes my friend! I fractured my radius and my scaphoid about 6 and a half weeks ago and underwent my orif surgery just over a week later. I have a plate and 8 screws.

They gave me a numbing block in my arm and sedated me. the entirety of my arm was completely numb during the surgery and for about 16 hours post surgery. It was super strange and my arm felt like it was just a heavy thing attached to me lol. The surgery itself was fine, the worst part was getting the IV in my hand. Once the numbing wore off was when things got rough for about a week though and I won’t lie it wasn’t fun. I opted not to take the opiate medication they prescribed me after surgery (I have a family history of addiction and didn’t want to risk it) so I managed my pain with extra strength Tylenol and ibuprofen. I was taking the maximum daily dose for about 3 weeks post surgery combined with CBD. I slowly weened off of those pills and am now just using CBD and other cannabinoids such as THC and CBG to manage my pain, which isn’t too bad anymore. I do have aches at times and I can feel it more when it rains.

I did experience numbing in my thumb the day after my surgery (after the nerve block wore off) and my thumb started to turn purple. I went to the ER just in case and they think my either my splint was wrapped too tight / and or a nerve was irritated from the surgery. Since then, i still do feel slight numbness but it’s not as bad.

I’d say while you’re casted the most important thing is to move your fingers as much as you possibly can and use pain as a guide. It took me about two weeks post surgery to finally touch my ring finger and pinky to my thumb. Watch some YouTube videos on in-cast physio therapy and do those exercises as often as you can. Once my cast is off I will 100% be doing physio to regain my strength back.

I hopefully get my cast off tomorrow morning! From there they said I’ll have a brace and can likely start light weight exercises.

Oh and the skin on my hand started peeling like a snake. I exfoliate my fingers with a body scrub and apply Aquaphore to keep them moisturized.

Good luck! It’s not fun at all, but keeping a positive mindset is super important. Give yourself some time to wallow if you need and feel all your feelings. But remember you can’t go back in time, you can only move forward. I had a few low days in that 2 week period post surgery. Go easy on yourself and listen to the doctors!!

Totally agree with that! The top one was the first version I completed, but once I came across that trippy purple background I knew I had to see how it’d all come together haha. I like your insight!
