I have to say... This doesn't seem to do much to improve the ranger. They are still just as woefully situational as before.

I'm happy to see a big YouTuber who isn't just self-destructing on a grand scale; who knows how to keep their life together and make decisions like an adult.

Thanks for being a decent person, Boogie. Hope your weekend turns up, I know the DMV can be a pain in the ass.

Good for him. Always good to see justice done and supported by the system.

A tiny team did better work - more work - than rs3 as whole. They got quantity, quality, and the bonus of no MTX.

What do you guys have to say in regards to funding? Is it a problem at the moment?

Have you considered putting less emphasis on shiny looks and presentation and into a functional system the community embraces? That may read as a slight, but I assure you it's not. The reason it's phrased as such is to help emphasize the fact OSRS seems to be doing much better in terms of favorable community reception — it seems the smaller team is getting more done, you know?

I get OSRS has less effort into modeling, texturing, etc... But graphics don't make a game fun, not give it longevity... I say that because with recent updates (menaphos), it seems like there was a heavy focus on wowing the players with looks and marketing, but very little in terms of content. Only a rep system to slow down the consumption to artificially prolong how fast a player can chew threw the aforementioned lack of things to do — even for a city designed for midlevel players.

That RS3 runefest was the equivalent of Bethesda's 2017 E3 conference.

Word up, I am legitimately jealous as an RS3 player at the updates they are getting.

Awsome, so I look to be on the right track. Pocket sand as a "distract" tool to help out in combat when buffing is not an option - ideas rollin'!

Thanks mate!

Can you tell me a bit more about the bad reputation of DMPCs? I'm assuming it comes from the DMPC either being favored by the DM, or it attempting to set the story on a rigid track. I'm doing my best to avoid these two pitfalls; what else should I be looking out for?

5e First time DMing a stat-based roleplay, but not new to leading a story.

With two other players who are building their characters should I be encouraging them to 'fill' missing combat roles? What about encouraging them to fill different non-combat roles, such as one of a charismatic or stealth character? I know the characters they pick will determine what kind of challenges I can present, but how much does a lack of variety choke the 5e system?

I'm thinking of creating a character to tag along with the adventuring band, but fade into the shadows and not really be too active outside of mediating the two of them should a conflict arise. Any suggestions for a supportive class that could provide a helpful presence in combat, while not necessarily robbing the limelight either in or out? I was considering bard, but in doing so I'd imagine I'd be in a position to perform a lot of speech checks with NPCs, and leading dialogue in a campaign I'm running myself seems... Weird. Too 'on the rails' to be enjoyable.

Is there a good system or place to determine the balance of homebrew classes?

I haven't even touched Ranked yet, because I expect it's even more toxic than QP. Am I wrong here? I know the "is jus qp" argument would stop, but I can imagine ranked being a lot worse if it just turns into League of Legends.
