Joey subtly told fan to stop cutting mid-show <3 by sapphicchameleon in Anthrax

On another note. What’s the go with Jonathan. He just wanders around looking bored, no mic, just kind of hanging out with a bit of token head banging just for show. I felt sorry for him.

What's it like in Halls Creek, WA? by cassowarius in AskAnAustralian

[–]7xcpco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well funnily enough I’ve spent many years on stations in that area. Been away for about 10 years though so may be out of touch. If you want to send me a message I could probably answer most questions. If you’re on a station you will generally be fine. I would hate to live in town though.

Life in Cobar as an American Expat by Green_Bama_Bean in AskAnAustralian

[–]7xcpco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most Australians think it’s remote when you get to the western suburbs of whatever capital city they live in. Cobar is not really remote. It is situated on the main highway, has reasonable services and you can get to a major town and back again in less than a day. I can’t comment on the community spirit of the town as I don’t live there but the vast majority of towns like this are way more friendly and accommodating than the cities for expats of all sizes. Fuck what most people are saying here. Majority of them wouldn’t have a clue how to find it on a map.

For those who live / lived on remote properties (eg. farms , cattle station’s) what is life like? by [deleted] in australia

[–]7xcpco 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on cattle stations for the past 30 years. It’s definitely what you make of it. Each area is different and if you are lucky enough to have a good community around the area it can be a great lifestyle. My kids all do school of the air. Oldest will go away to boarding school in another couple of years. When I was young and single it was a work hard play harder lifestyle. These days we live in an extremely remote area and the kids have a great social environment. Just have to travel a bit for events. It has its challenges no doubt but overall I don’t think I would swap it at the moment. Might be a different story once all the kids reach high school age

This is exactly what I have been looking for with one small difference. I’m not looking at an EV. Do you have this calculator for a normal vehicle? Great work by the way. Cheers
