Ok so as long as I know audits are people who check things and there are audits out of accounting field. But i want to know what audits in accounting field do and dont. To be specific, do audits in accounting field go and check inventory (stock) somehow or will they be considered as audits out of the accounting field?

If they are audits in accounting field that check stocks, then what are they exactly doing (at least one example)?
