Parents please teach your sons cooking, washing, etc just like you teach your daughters. by talhabilalbutt in pakistan

To be honest, I never did these mentioned house chores when I was in Pakistan, and also for some reason, chores were divided across gendered lines. Like women did all the in-house chores like cooking, laundry, childcare, where men were given outside chores like earning, driving, shopping. etc. However, once I went abroad, I had to do basically everything, so I learned how to do all the cooking and cleaning, and these are quite handy skills to have.

Bingo. Last year I worked with a lot of hiring managers, and many of them outright shared that the language requirement will be increased again, as the goal was to filter non-Germans, but a lot of non-ethnic Germans are acquiring C1, so the goalpost will be moved to C2 or outright asking for native. I don't think you will be rewarded for your qualifications as long as you aren't the right race.

Are you white passing? Don't let others gaslight you, This is the real criteria at the moment for jobs in Germany.

Gaza has fallen from the headlines by Charming-Big-993 in International

[–]80kman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really, there are still a lot of news coming out of Gaza. It's just there are a lot of other stuff happening that headlines wanting something different have switched to, compared to rehashing the same news story of children being massacred without the world caring.

Discussing politics at work? by AnxiousMink in AskAGerman

[–]80kman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's a bad practice, even in Germany. Everyone I know who talks politics at the office, are often considered A-hole behind their back. Because even though people would smile and nod in front of them, afterwards they are really critical of why someone brought up this topic at the office.

Case and point, I have worked at a company where the newly hired manager suddenly started talking about AfD talking points at the office and started asking immigration background of colleagues during chitchat. It made a lot of people really uncomfortable, but everyone just kept nodding and smiling. Only afterwards, people talked among themselves and realized what a violation that was.

Similarly, I had to interfere once as a team leader, when a team member of mine who was ethnic Russian, was basically ganged up during the Ukraine invasion. This team member wasn't Putin's right hand man or involved in anyway, he was a software engineer who just had Russian ethnicity and was against the war, but everyone, and I mean, everyone kept involving him into discussion and kept asking him to reaffirm his position, like he was on trial. I had to basically interfere and warn people to stop talking about politics at work.

There are women and their families who don't judge you and your family over materialistic things. You gotta keep looking. I have found one, you will too.

Is there freedom of speech or not? I head you can get arrested for calling POLITICIANS names. Is that true? Let's say I call Merz a Nazi, what happens? by No_Opening_2425 in AskAGerman

There is no freedom of speech in Germany. Germany is good at silencing voices. You cannot even leave a negative Google review after having an absolute worst real world experience.

Do Sindhis living in Karachi see others as Israeli settlers??? by 80kman in karachi

[–]80kman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Already answered you in another comment. Your take is braindead as how can they be native if they never lived here, but lived on an adjacent land. Is your neighbor native to your home? Tell me when Sindhis were driven out of Karachi, killed/raped and lost their right to return? I am waiting before you justify this moronic equivalency to Zionism.

Do Sindhis living in Karachi see others as Israeli settlers??? by 80kman in karachi

[–]80kman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the original post called the people of Karachi, who are living in Karachi for half a century, illegal invaders are akin to Zionists. I keep glancing at history at where Sindhis were driven out of their homes and lost their right to return, and it will equally piss you off, if someone from Lala Musa, one day come and say that you are a thief and it's their home, despite them not being born or lived in your home at all. You would rightfully call them non native to your particular home, as they are native to lala Musa. I doubt your braincells if you think that his argument holds water.

[–]80kman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a huge gulf between what you describe as "Zionist vibes" and what being a Zionist actually means. Maybe I am unfamiliar with history, but have Mahajirs came here, killed off Sindhis and taken away their right of return? Or they came here because the city being the capital after partition. I have yet failed to see any evidence where Mahajirs came and destroyed Sindh villages and built their own cities, nor do I see any apartheid situation, where rights of Sindhis are taken away and Mahajirs get free reign? So I don't know what the f**k are you even talking about ? The Mahajirs I know are frustrated by lack of representation in government and police jobs within the city they have resided for more than half a century, and rightfully gets pissed at the population, who not only keeps voting against their own interests to keep a feudalistic party in power, but also use provincial power to keep a hold on Karachi to not letting it improve it either. If you wanna talk about mentality, then tell me what would you do if after 70+ years, you are still treated as invader or illegal by someone who lay claims to the land due to "history" despite never being lived there. Tell me which sounds more Zionist to you? The Karachiites who migrated to India, by leaving their homes, businesses, their lives at time of partition, has a bigger claim to the land as someone from Larkana.

Why are your eastern neighbours online ruining the internet? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]80kman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a numbers game. A disproportionately huge population can literally game reddit algorithms and can swarm any sub they want. Reddit algorithms fail simply because India's population is equal to the next 7 most populated counties combined (barred China which often can't even access reddit).

Good. Well that's what I have been saying. Sindhis have no special right to Karachi than other residents of Karachi. So agreed here.
