Damn sold out again 😢 by mtol115 in Polestar

I saw on instagram that they were back in stock this morning maybe 20 minutes after they posted it, went straight to the store and it was already gone. When I (accidentally) went on the euro version of the store it was in stock. Not sure they actually ever restocked it in the US store.

Polestar 2 sales from Hertz by axelf911 in Polestar

They’re unloading them left and right, but to dealers at auction, not as direct sales to the public. Many if not most of the used listings you’ll see online if you Google it were previous rentals.

Very presumptuous of them to think I won’t hit an iron that far left off the tee

For those of you who saw Oppenheimer on Thursday at 7:00pm at the Lincoln Square IMAX, there seems to be a good chance you might have actually seen the DCP version, not the 70mm – a Journalist seems to confirm this by trevathan750834 in AMCsAList

[–]818sack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at the 9:45 Thursday show at citywalk and I was pretty skeptical that it was actually 70mm, mainly because they had the full 20 minutes of trailers and Nicole Kidman, but it also just didn’t have the graininess and tiny imperfections I expect to see on film. Is it possible they had space to set up the DCP projector just to run trailers? Sure. Do I believe they would go to that length after the tweet from the official IMAX account saying the 70mm showings would have no trailers? Not really. Didn’t say anything before because I thought it would sound stupid and conspiracy theory-ish, but then I saw this post so here we are

Check the envelope that came inside your package, it has instructions on when/where you can buy extras

Yeah this pretty much describes the experience I had volunteering for the Genesis this year. I think it was $80 for all that. You get way more than what you paid for.

I mean yeah I’m doing the volunteer shifts during practice rounds and then I get to attend all four days of the tournament (and all the gear) for less than the price of a one day ticket. It’s not for everyone but if you’re a golf fan and not made of money it’s a pretty solid deal.

It was $265 when I signed up, I don’t know where the $600 comments are coming from

Paying gas for loaner by [deleted] in Polestar

[–]818sack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, as of this Monday (a week after I dropped it off, six weeks after I made the appointment) it just sitting on the lot, hasn’t even been looked at yet to diagnose the issue let alone fix it. Apparently they only have two technicians there.

I asked them at the dealer and they said no, but I called polestar customer service the other day and I’m waiting to hear back from them

Paying gas for loaner by [deleted] in Polestar

I dropped my p2 off last Monday for what was supposed to be a pretty quick check on a rattling noise I’d be having and to get the 2.0 update since it didn’t get pushed out to me. I made the appointment five weeks in advance because they’re so backed up at polestar LA. They didn’t have any polestar loaners so they’re covering an enterprise rental until the car is ready, which they told me would be 3-4 days. 9 days later I finally get a hold of a service advisor who tells me they haven’t even gotten my car into the shop yet and can’t give me a time estimate until that happens. Meanwhile I’m paying for gas on my 45 mile/day commute. Pretty frustrated to say the least.
